Kiwaukee Thomas signed (rumor?)

Check out his NFL.com profile, or his ESPN scouting report (not sure if you are an insider or not, but you have to be to read the good stuff...)

Hope this helps.

Also try looking at some NFL preview magazines.
NFL preview magz are wrong 80% of the time.

At least this guy, unlike Gibson has some NFL exp.

Not a Pro-Bowl guy or anything but didnt have extensive playing time with Jacksonville. When he did he excelled, he should be solid for us, but nothing special.

Although nothing is confirmed as of yet, if we really signed him than that would be great and I would have to give credit to Dolphins1000 for calling it last night. This will also make me feel better about the whole Eddie Jackson pick up because I read where Jackson has played both CB and S. He would then give us versatility.

Exactly. If true, our corners: Madison/Howard/Daniels/Thomas/Jackson

Definitely not what we are used to seeing, but I feel good knowing Saban hand picked the bottom 3. Edwards and Richard seemed to be moves that Saban felt he HAD to make because we needed to put CBs on the field. With Thomas and Jackson, I feel like NS evaluated and felt these two guys fit the system and are worthy of a roster spot. I like it. I wonder who was cut? Probably Travis Minor.

I didnt mean to read the preview itself, but usually they contain a tidbit about the players on a team.. You could learn about his ability/what he contributed to the Jags there.

Enough with the Gibson! We get it! You dont like it!

i remeber thomas from the jags game. I was impressed with him. He broke up some passes on that game.

I hope they don't cut Minor. I like him. I'd rather keep Minor and cut that FB we signed.

I'd rather cut Minor...

But if we were going to really lose one of them I'd simply put Eckel on the PS.

No way! Eckel has been getting RAVE reviews from Pats fans and Navy fans alike. Many believe he was a freakin steal. Minor, at this point, is not needed, as Eckel will not backup Evans at FB while Morris and Chatman (and eventually Ricky) will backup RB at RB (hehehe).

Excellent point. When making little additions like this, its a good idea to think of a possible connection (i.e. a common coach, player etc.) We probably got a good look at him in that game.

There were other teams that put in waiver claims for him when we got him. How do you think we could just simply put Eckel on the PS? He would have to clear waivers and another team again claiming him is very possible.

But the big question here:

When I originally clicked on the link it said Thomas had signed, and then it was gone!

What happened?

and thats because you know nothing about Kyle Eckel

Clue me in. I don't think many people (including yourself) know much about him.

why? Minor will never play, Chatman can return kicks along with Wes, plus Kyle was an UFA, so more than likely he signed a 2 or 3 year deal with the Pats for min salaries every year. Minor is only signed to a one year deal.

I take it you've never seen Kyle play?

False info? I have no idea, I really hope we signed him. Would be a real good pickup.
