The members of this forum are prisoners of the moment and ultimate knee jerkers... In the 1st half, it was a great decision to keep the coach and our QB was the future of the franchise. In the 2nd half, its the complete opposite. R-E-L-A-X. We weren't going anywhere regardless of a win. What we did see is the maturation of our QB. This is all about Tannehill now. Our biggest issues in this game have been our biggest issues all season. The defense led by Coyle and our injury plagued offensive line. Both of our biggest issues will be looked in the off-season and if history repeats itself; we will improve.

If we bring in Rex as our defensive coordinator we are sure to improve... That should be enough to make everyone on this board feel somewhat encouraged going into next season. Combine that with the return of Albert and meeting our O-Line needs in the draft and you can see considerable improvement next season. I for one, am encouraged at what I saw from Tannehill today. Of course, I'm discouraged at our head coach who cannot see the fake coming which hurt us in the Detroit game, the 1st Jets game, and of course this game...

We won't be playing in January but we have something to look forward too which is Ryan Tannehill. The kid has the toughness and potential it takes to play in this league. We are probably in better shape at the end of this season than we've been since Marino. That is all due to Tannehill.

All is not lost...

Rex Ryan is not going to be Joe's DC.

I've been reading Rex has said he has no intention of being a DC. He'll be interviewing for HC positions.

Missed that about Rex.. Regardless, we'll get a new DC. Get Coyle out of here..

Nobody who wanted philbin gone before the game decided it was a great idea to keep him during the first half. Don't make things up

Philbin can't coach. I believe in consistency, but he has been rewarded for substandard performance. I made this decision earlier this year when he took a knee at the end of the first half when we were down big time and had all of our timeouts. He is scared, has no killer instinct, and no skills as a game manager. He should be gone...nothing knee jerk about it.

People are mad in this thread... Dolfan25 and negmaron lol

But I don't see the loss as fully on Philbin. The Oline sucked balls and defense couldn't do anything. Not joes fault... This time.

Gotta love fans of a perennial mediocre/non-playoff team using the quote of a winner as if it relates in any way. Also, the reaction to over a decade of mediocre/bad football is the exact opposite of "knee-jerk." Time to come up with a new phrase.

1) Injuries are not an excuse. Up in Foxborough they have injury issues each and every season and if push comes to shove they have a WR play CB and it still works out. We have a big-time coaching issue across the board.
2) Rex Ryan will not be a defensive coordinator next season. He'll be a head coach or have a TV gig.
3) Again, we should be excited by drafting offensive linemen. That's why we don't have playmakers on this team. Not on offense, not on defense.
4) Our coach can't see anything coming. We are 2-3 in December and won our two games by a combined score of 3 points. We totally suck when it counts. Did the same in 2012 and 2013. That's the frustrating thing with our coaches.
5) I agree. Tannehill is the only bright spot in the 2014 season.

I think Joe sucks as a coach but this one is not on him.. The O-line blows and the defense allowed four walk in touchdowns. How is that on Joe?
