Knee Surgery to sideline David Garrard

Just reported that a scene eerily reminiscent of Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, David Garrard was hit in the knee with a led pipe by what is presumed to be a psychotic Dolphin fan. The only things police have to go by is the assailant reportedly was wearing a West Virginia sweatshirt and repeated chanted "I told everyone Garrard was garbage" as he ran away from the scene of the crime.

Garrard says he's going to wait and see for a few days on his knee. He's obviously in a pickle - if he has the surgery, he can't win the job and might be cut. I expect him to try to play through it. He has no choice.

Where are all the people who have been giving me thumbs downs for giving everyone a heads up about this guy? He's a ****ing bum. Everyone who hated on me personally because I tried to do people a favor and warn you should be banned for a week or so. Keep sleeping on me though. All I do is spew truth, year in and year out.

I made one of the best threads this site has seen in months with a solid write up I did while ill, took me 4 hours to write because I had to take breaks, and it got maybe a 1000 views. Yet, as soon as I started really hammering Garrard, a thread like that got 3 times as many views and a bunch of people hating on me. You guys love it. You act like you want great write ups and **** but, when I do those you hardly look. You love it when I go all out on the edge and can hate on me. Yet, typically when I do I almost always turn out to be dead on.

And dont tell me this guy wouldnt lay down with an injury that shouldnt keep him out long. BS. Dont act like he cares about the 1.5 mill extra he could get in incentives. He can get whats guarenteed by doing nothing. Workers comp pays people 80% of their actual pay. People will take 20% less to not work. David Garrard will pass on the extra mil or so to milk this "injury" and collect the guarentees on his contract. Its plenty enough for him to lounge around on his boat for the rest of his life along with what he got from one good season in Jacksonville. I told you.

I told you about this guy. Im just glad he pulled this **** before Ireland and Philbin did something stupid like cut or trade Matt Moore, a real man, a real QB, a real team player.

David Garrard, bad for the phins, bad for America.

He was given a $1mill signing bonus. Which in the NFL for a QB is peanuts. The rest of his salary, $2.25 mil isn't guaranteed unless he is on the opening day roster and the rest is incentive based. I don't really see this injury as something as Garrard was trying to hide though. The team had to have known about it after he began wearing a protective sleeve in practice. He was probably trying to play through the injury but just couldn't and the team decided he should just have surgery.

You were definitely correct in saying that he was injury prone and that is where we are in agreement as I was worried about it as well, but I don't think he would hide an injury from the team on purpose to collect his pay.

As far as calling Moore a real QB, that's about as far off as I was for thinking that Henne was a real QB. The Fins won last year at the end of the season because of the turn around of their D. It had almost nothing to do with Moore and he will never lead any team to a SB.

we have a choice...and thats to cut bait...NOW...no contact and already under the knife...irelands crazy if he keeps this guy around...fresh off missing an entire year for a bad back...it's not worth it...

What the Palm Beach Post says doesn't make sense if Garrard is just trying to get his guaranteed money and play no more this season. Something's not adding up here. I'd lean towards the injury being thoroughly legit on Garrard's part and very unfortunate for him and the team. Cross your fingers my friends . . .

Thing is people dont care about that stuff. They love it when I bash players. They love it so they can point their ****ing fingers and say theres the bad guy. So what does that make you? Good?

Since when are you a know it all? Garrard has been better than Matt Moore all off season, so its a fraud? Even if he was on a bum leg, he was better than the incumbent. You sound like a Jets fan.

You are acting like you were always right but it's been reported that he loses his whole salary if he gets cut before the season. I fail to see how he is just claiming injury to collect and sit on his ass argument you are waging. I really dont even know you. I dont pay that much attention to this forum. You seem to have missed on this one because if Garrard wants to soak the Dolphins then he needs to get to the first game of the season. How does injuring himself now fit into his master plan?
