Knowing now would you...

No....never use a HIGH number one on a running back.....Clev. overpaid using the number three overall pick....especially since alot of those picks were from Atl to get Julio Jones.
I would have taken Julio to start building a team around..but Indy, allready having their franchise QB....well ,Trent is very good value at a late 1st rounder...
Clev. was all but through trying to run the ball by halftime of most games, being in catch up mode most of the time.
I love Eddie Lacy...but no,he isn't in Trent's class.
DT and Lamar Miller? I like them because their Dolphins, but PLEASE!!!!!!

Wait, if they gave up running by halftime why did he have the 11th most attempts by a running back?

He only averaged 4 more carries in the first half compared to second half. Sounds like he was still getting carries after half.

Was Trich just a COMPLETELY different back in college or something? I haven't seen a lot of him, but what I have seen has all been at the NFL level. I mean... yeah, he looks good, but nothing screams "GREAT!" to me. There's plenty of legitimate excuses for why he's underachieving on that inept Browns team, but you'd think that if he was as amazing as some people say he is, he'd have shown... something? Anything? Sure, he could break out on a better offensive team, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to throw a first round pick at him to find out.

Thats your opinion...just get the money right.

Ok. What do you do with him after his rookie contract runs out? If he is putting up the same type of numbers as he is now he will not be worth paying big money to and you would have given up a first round pick, in a draft that looks to be much better than this past draft by the way. Even if he produces better numbers than he has been, than he will demand big money and you will have a back getting payed a lot of money who takes a beating with his style of play. No thanks. I will pass.

When a players' cost exceeds his production, you get rid of them...Right now..this is good value for Indy...Cleveland was stupid for taken him with the third overall pick.
But if you got most of your pieces in place,a late first rounder for a RB is not bad,now the way rookie contracts are.
Look at it again when the three yrs left are over and move on.

It's clear you really like Trent Richardson.

I don't really care about the Colts or Trent Richardson. We handled Trent in Week 1 and we handled the Colts last weekend. Get back to me near the end of the year if we have to play the Colts in the playoffs.

I agree, but that first round pick would have been flushed down the drain, and I am not sure Indy has most of the pieces in place. They do not have a good defense, and their offensive line maybe worse than Miami's.

It's not about liking Trent...It's good value for Indy right now....Late first...no signing bonus

This move helps Luck, their most important piece,out....ALOT of late first rounders end up being busts with a signing bonus.
Talent with value.

They hope. He better put up a hell of a performance this year or there's going to be a lot of angry Colts fans. He's got a lot of pressure to deal with now and going against an angry 49ers team at home is probably not the best start.

How do feel about the trade from Cleveland's end? I think it was a great move on their part. I think they got more than anyone could have imagined. They need to rebuild that offense, starting with the quarterback position, the way Chudzinski envisions it.

It doesn't matter...Cleveland has shown time and time again they don't get it...yes they get a late first, but they traded the 3rd overall pick to do it...after they wasted all those picks they
got from Atl. for the Julio Jones trade....They are throwing out the baby with the bathwater....

You can't just blanket it like that at all. If that were the case every team would have the same record every year no matter what changes they make. Come on man.
