Lets review this idiotic post after a year with Trent and Luck together.....3rd or 4th rd my a**.

Can we just admit I was right?

Trents stat lines:

5 rushes 2 yards 0.4 avg
8 rushes 20 yards 2.5avg
14 rushes 37 yards 2.6 avg
10 rushes 40 yards 4 avg
20 rushes 60 yards 3 avg
18 rushes 56 yards 3.1 avg

And only 2 total td's

You can find those numbers in 5-7th round picks.

Hell Miller is playing a lot better than Trent.

There was a reason CLE dumped him after getting to see what he all about - talent, work ethic and character wise. They wouldn't have given up after a year if they like what they had.

I'm never overly interested in giving up picks. a few years ago I'd give away picks for players.

giving up picks to move up in the draft is one thing, but you just never know how guys are gonna do in your system, and if they dont work out, your out the player, and a potential good draft pick.

This is a better deal with a second round pick, but since it's Indy and that pick will be in the last, say 8, there's no way CLE is taking a second. As such, and because they really wanted to get it done, Indy agrees to the deal with a first round pick. Give it time. The deal will look better, if not by season's end, due to the poor OL play and Wayne's injury, it will look like a good deal for a 2nd next year.
