What's one move you'd make to begin this season that Saban and Mularkey failed to do?

Daunte should have stayed off the field until at least week 8. The extent of his injury warranted a longer recovery period.

Hate to say it but Drew Brees springs to mind. He might not have been able to fix our defensive backfield woes as well though because its more than one thing that needs fixing.

Re-Signed Lance Schulters, also signed another O-Lineman.

what ever happened to schulters? he played pretty good for us.

let joey work with the starting team all off season and use our second round pick instead of trading it

I would have signed Kevin Shaffer & Kevin Mawae.
I dont like this types of posts. We can all say what should have been done but we have no idea what was going on. Saban's top priority was signing us a top tier QB. In doing this we missed out on other valuable signings because at that time we had no idea the cap ramifications it would have and the money left over to sign other players.

Brees was obviously our first choice but he wanted way to much money, 10mil/year, so we decided to go with C-Pep. Once that decisioins was over we missed out on key additions that would have made our team more competitive (bentley mawae and others).

Hence the point of the thread. Now you know, so what would you have done?

One thing Phil Simms has been saying for about three years is that the Fins need a franchise OL. I agree. I think that is where a good team starts. You need an Olin Krutez, Hutchinson, W Jones, Roaf, to build around.
