Knowshon Moreno signs one year deal with Dolphins

Good news.

We still need to draft a RB though.

How is miller crap?

When you get blown over by a gust of wind, you are crap.

1 year deal? Can't be for that much if it's a show me deal... I'm ok with it.

How is miller crap? He's averaged over 4.0 each season and last Season behind maybe the worst oline ever. How can you produce if you get hit in the backfield each play. Miller can be a threat with decent blocking and a team that can set up screens

I reckon Lamar would fall over if I blew a particularly tough feather in his general direction... and lets not even pretend he would have any hope if it tried to tackle him lol

Should we really just cut him at this point? $800,000 for this season is not expensive at all, they would be better holding onto him at the moment. What I would do is put him on the trade market and see if any interest is there. Maybe he could even be a draft day trade chip to move up at some point. If they can't trade him, hang on to him and take him to camp. I don't see the point in dumping him right now.[/QUOTE]

Agree, or at least keep him on the roster until final cuts just in case we have injuries during training camp.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP

Philbin was playing up Lamar Miller a lot in NFL meetings, but barely mentioned Thomas. So expect a Moreno-Miller 1-2 punch.

Both Philbin and Hickey had decent things to say about Mike Gillislee. Seems he'll resume his role as No.3 back.

honestly with the rb market these days in free agency who even wants to play the position...unless you are an ap type you are getting some serious low coin these days and your shelf lifeis shorter than like every other position

i wouldn't be raising a running back these days as a parent...screw that

You won by seconds. :hclap:

Hold on to him, there is no need to rush to cut him at the moment especially at those dollars...there are injuries that can happen also, let it play out.

I like this deal. A one year deal to show what he can bring to the Phins. Lets hope he has a good season.

Agreed. I never really wanted Moreno, would have preferred Tre Mason in the 2nd round. But it is hard to complain about 1 year prove it deals because they carry essentially 0 risk.

Seriously, I don't think Miller could break a tackle from my 8 year old brother. I am being perfectly serious.

a running back that knows how to pass block...Ryan Tannehill just wet himself with excitement.

So....

Miller-Moreno as the 1-2

Gilislee at 3?

Still see us drafting a RB in the late rounds 5-7.

He's a speed back, he's not suppose to break tackles just make people miss. Hard to make someone miss when you get hit as soon as you get the ball.
