Knowshon Moreno visits Dolphins/Leaves without deal

Bring in Moreno, he shows a lot of emotion. (evil laugh)

All kidding aside, Moreno would be a huge upgrade to our offensive capabilities, and I'm sure Tannehill would love to have him in the back field.

Everyone can knock Moreno all they want but he makes this team better day 1

This thread reminds of when we signed Brandon Gibson, and how most we're complaining about how average a talent he was. Nonsense. Moreno is a solid player. He's certainly going to help pass protection, and would be the most proven back on the phins roster.

I am genuinely confused why there is any resistance to the idea of signing of Moreno

Lets look at this situation
- He was very productive and healthy last year 1000 yards and 10 td's would do me nicely
- He plays with a great QB and a good o line which certainly helps ... but he was still effective however you look at it and would still be an upgrade over what we have
- We have nothing at RB, we don't have a starting RB on the roster. Thomas has struggled for 3 years and Miller has never even shown me an indication that he is capable of being a starting rb

Moreno can run with the ball, he is an effective pass catcher and he is an above average to very good pass blocker - and the market for a f.a. back is about 4 million over 2 years - less than we are paying the 2nd worst CB in the NFL this season

Sign Moreno, we will get a good deal, he will instantly be the best back on the roster and the low contract (and struggles of Miller and Thomas) means we can add a back in the draft as well if we want!

Im not saying Moreno is Adrian Peterson, but at worst he is a decent NFL starter with upside and will probably be signed to a team friendly deal... he also has less wear on the tires and more upside than someone like MJD.... I ask you... why the hell shouldn't we throw 2/3m(at most) to get a solution at rb? Even if you aren't a big fan he is still better than what we have and we can draft a rb as well.

If we sign Moreno and cut Thomas on the exact same day, it will be one of the happiest days as a Phin I can remember in the past day.

I don't care if Moreno runs exactly like Thomas, he can catch and he can pass protect.

I am so tired of watching Thomas fail at everything he is supposed to do. Nevermind his inability to show if, in fact, he is good at something. I've never seen a more ineffectual player remain glued to a roster in all my life.

As soon as he steps on the field, we've conceded the down. I'm not trying to be dramatic. He simply is that predictably aweful. How has he stayed on this team?

Simply cutting him and replacing him with ANYBODY else is addition by subtraction at its finest.

I'm definetly in! And I hope the fins draft tre mason in round 2. The MORE WEAPONS tannehill has the better he will be

please no... sign blount and draft a young RB in 2nd or 3rd round...

548 receiving yards. Our existing backs are not good in this regard.

Ranked eighth in pass pro. Our existing backs are God-awful in this regard.

He probably won't break the bank.

It takes rookies awhile to gel in pass pro. Honestly we should be upset that it took this long for us to make such an obvious and inexpensive fit to get get him in here. This makes too much sense. Add him and a younger back to develop with him. I still like Miller in a RBBC too.

blount does 1 thing well and little besides that moreno is a better all around player
we need a down hill runner like blount who can get those tough yards, the ones moreno will not be able to get without fumbling...

if om not mistaken i read somewhere that moreno was not a good pass blocker thats another reason for blount.

we need someone who can run downhill, block for his qb and catch passes not a one tricky pony

Moreno was something like the 7th best pass blocking rb in the nfl last season

also looking at the stats, Moreno had 3 fumbles in 3 years, Blount had 3 last season
