I have noticed that on those games he didn't play we got beat in the running game pretty ugly, lets give credit to him, he is a real difference maker against the run. :hclap:

Memo to Jeff Ireland - Re-sign Koa Misi. He's about your most successful 2nd round draft pick since you entered the joint in 2008. He probably won't demand the same amount that you gave to Ellerbe, Wheeler, Dansby, Burnett, et al. (And don't forget to re-sign Brent Grimes and Chris Clemons while you have the checkbook out).

I thought Misi already signed a new deal?

But yeah, I have rewatched the Jets game and in his one sack and tackles, he is like on fire and really laying the lumber.

He signed a 4 year extension in September.

Spike...Ireland got your memo about Misi. I hope all of you like our LBs bc they will be around at least two more years.

Misi is a solid player. He gets little credit because he isn't as big play as some guys in the league. Conversely he is rarely out of position and rarely makes dumb mistakes. Ill take a solid guy like that on a D of difference makers all day.

Misi has made a big step up this season in pass coverage. He's been very effective there for the first time in his career. I don't know what PFF says about that and could care less to an extent, because you can see it with your eyes.

Make no mistake this Dolphin defense has been getting trucked in the run game with or without Misi all season long
I remember a time not so long ago that we wouldn't have allowed 163,154,152,146,140,136,and 133 yards on the ground
all in one season.

What is the root cause of the problem? I know that we were killed by Darren Sproules on the edges in the Saints game. But Soliai and co are still pretty good at stuffing it up the middle, eg NY Jets game. I've heard the Philbin press conferences where he says that we did well for much of the game then got gashed for big yardage on certain plays. "We have to do a better job of not allowing this to happen... yada, yada, yada..." I have a hunch that the players get sick of hearing it too.

Problem is Ellerbe and Wheeler can't tackle.

Glad we re-signed him. He's been solid this year. By shutting down the running game, the opposing QB is forced to pass, and that's a good thing because our secondary is also very good.

One less hole to fill. Misi is steady, and you need a couple of difference makers and a bunch of steady's to win.

Lol. He's already re-signed. Save your memo.
