I hate to say it, but the ony way Bob Kuechenberg can get in the hall of fame now, is as a Senior Nominee. That means he is gonna have to wait even longer. It really is sad, but again, he was up against a tough class again.

Hopefully he'll get in as a senior nominee someday, but if he has not been inducted by now, he never will.

Yep, it's a numbers game. The competition was simply too strong again.

I wonder who the hell is voting on this. I wonder if their is some kind of ckecks and balance system in place. (Let me give you example. During the Baseball ((yes I know it's different, but it also the same)) voting for the hall of fame years ago, a writer on purpose did not vote for Nolan Ryan just to see if anything would happen to him. His logic being, if you don't think Nolan Ryan is a hall of famer, you should have no business voting for the hall of fame. He said no one questioned his vote.

I feel as though he may not get in. At least not until he's a senior nominee as stated. I believe that the voters are tired of hearing about the undefeated Dolphins.

But what really steams my shorts is that Bruce Smith goes in first ballot. He was good but come on. He was not a first ballot HOF.

I read somewhere or heard somewhere that Dr. Z (Paul Zimmerman) was a big supporter of Kooch, in past years he has really pleaded the case for Kooch to the other writers, and with him not voting this year he did not have a real chance. It is just a crying shame. Very few people realize how dominant that Dolphins team was in the first part of the 70's, and that line was awesome. Kooch was just as good as Langer & Little, if not better. It is just a shame.

I'm really sick of Kooch getting overlooked year after year while people like Ralph Wilson and Joe DeLamielleure getting in. There is a bias against the '72 Phins. Even if Kooch never gets in, we the fans and players who lined up against him know that he should be a HOF'er.
