Kornheiser: I was so wrong

Haven't seen ESPN experts like Skip Bayless and Jets homer, Mike Greenberg, admit that they were wrong yet. Not holding my breath waiting..

PTI was talking about the Dolphins/Patriots game and Tony turned to the camera and made a public apology. He said he buried the Dolphins after the Incognito stuff and said at the time the team wouldn't win more than two games. He also said that everyone would be fired from Miami.

Today he said "I was so wrong" about the Dolphins and was prasing them. Wilbon might have gotten ahead of himself as he said "the Dolphins will be in the playoffs".

These two guys are still clowns, but it is nice to see these people eat crow and admit they were wrong. I doubt guys like Heath Evans and Evan Silva will ever man up.

I like PTI. It's fun for me to listen to what they have to say. I like them infinite times more than Bayless and S. Smith. I actually thought that when they got to talking about the Pats/Dolphins (was the 4th story to talk about) that they'd give Miami no credit and blame the NE loss on injuries. Kornheiser kinda said that the loss was b/c Gronkowski wasn't playing but when Wilbon said Miami is pretty good and will make the playoffs, I admit I was a bit stunned.

You know, I haven't missed a play in a Dolphins game in at least the last 9 years and yet, when we were down 15-0 to Tampa Bay in the first half, I could barely stand it. I told my wife I was going to bed and went and laid down for about 30 seconds. Then she yelled to me something about Rishard Mathews had a huge gain, I immediately got up and rewound the DVR to watch that play, and subsequently watched the remainder of the game.

The Dolphins are like a drug. I just can't quit them. And it's times like this week (and the past few games) that reminds me why I'm a fan. All the suffering and heartache that we suffer as fans makes times like this all the more sweeter. If, god willing, we ever win a Super Bowl, that will no doubt be the greatest day of my life, excluding children's births and milestones, wedding day, etc.

My daughter was born the day before the Tampa game so I watched it at the hospital on a small ****ty TV. Yeah I was filled with joy she was born the day before but the Dolphins game really still pissed me off.

at the time all that went down it was a safe bet to say we were gonna tank the rest of the season...it hasn't been flawless but getting a win like that should definitely finally put all that to bed. Guys like Kornheiser are a rare breed in today's media though. He might come off douchey but he will always admit when he's wrong.

Many of us gave up on the Dolphins...at least a couple of times this season.

This is a special team. I am watching their every move these days. It's good stuff, but bad for the heart or one's blood pressure.

I never gave up on them but I thought the season was over after the loss to NE and then to Tampa. I'm very VERY happy Miami has a chance to get into the playoffs.

its just this board is so reactionary.

But no one could see what was under the surface. cept me. he he.

Sports analysts were the precursor to "man-made global warming" nutjobs.

They are all expensive clowns.

You have it backward, the sports analysis field more resembles that of industry-funded global warming deniers or supply-side economic prophets (cut taxes to spur growth) without competency in the fields in which they speak, who work to sell their paymaster's products to the public, be it greenhouse gas emissions or the networks' billion-dollar NFL packages. Both are forms of corporate salesmanship.

Well, at least he was a man about it. Not a lot of anybody in the media admits being wrong. Hell, I even downgraded my preseason prediction of 10-6 to 9-7 but its looking like my original prediction might be good.

Alex, cutting taxes does increasing spending as well as federal tax revenue to an extent. I have a masters in business focused on economics. :).

TC is so wrong, all the time that it's not really that big of a deal. He even
admits he doesn't watch games, and sleeps most of the time.

Wilbon is simply a blowhard/windbag with no rational opinions. Once, he said that
Rose purposely missed shots to provide rebounds for the rest of the Bulls.

Nothing those clowns say matters to me.

Before we blast the guy, can you honestly say you had a good feeling about this team after losing to the bucs on MNF post bully gate? Even I'm surprised.

Good feeling? Not really. But people kept going on how this team was going to be no different than years past. It was a bad loss, but it was a loss. If people were to try and put things into perspective, we still were essentially in control of our own destiny at that point. We were tied with the Jets for the final spot. I still liked our chances but kept having the phrase, "false hope" thrown at me.

This team competes. At that time I looked at our schedule, and all of the games were winable, and ever since, we won em all except for Carolina who we shoulda beaten.

Sometimes you just gotta sit back and see how the season plays out and chill on the predictions.

So..those of us who didnt give up...are just sitting back and sayin nothin. Cuz..we haven't crested that hill yet. Huge HUGE game tgis week.
