Kory Sperry could have been seem threat TE that were looking for.

And having to take him out on plays were he isnt utilized would be just as dumb.

A d cordinator will eat that up. Everytime he comes in hes running a route, hed get shutdown easily.

because that's what we do

So you are saying you were completely pissed off and disgusted when we got rid of John Beck and Kory Sperry? Bet not. It's easy to come back after the fact and say, "dang, the Dolphins were stupid for letting them go."

John Beck and Kory Sperry have done absolutely nothing to make me regret the fact that they are no longer with the Dolphins.

I wanted Beck gone and still think he's just a backup somewhere. But, I did like Sperry when he was here and I never knew why he was cut. I dont think Sparano played him enough to see what he's got.

Ok people comparing Sperry to Beck, it was obvious that sperry had some talent, tell me, when and where did you see any talent from john beck? was it the fumbles, interceptions or flat out couldn't even take a hand off from the center?

We let him go because he didn't look like Mark bavaro.

My biggest problem with drafting Beck was his age. He was a 26 year old rookie that you figured might need some time to develop. Right now Beck is 30 and Carson Palmer is 31.

First off this is not a woulda, coulda, shoulda negative thread, I'm just speaking in general. I'm sure you all remember kory sperry, he was a phin back in 09 and actually caught a TD pass from henne in the game against TB. Well anyway most of you know that he is on the chargers now and he played a little bit last year, well this year he is down in weight from 250lb to 238lb almost losing 15lbs, I was watching the chargers-seattle game and Ron Jaworski said that perry has lost weight and increased his speed and he is going to be a difficult matchup for any defense, he actually caught a couple passes in that game and seperated himself from some LB's, there were actually a couple plays where I thought he was Vincent Jackson because of the tats and same size 6"4 235, well anyway, maybe we could send merling to the chargers for this guy because they run a 3-4 and already have gates and mcmichael, it would be a perfect trade, sperry would help us out big time!

both of these kids from colorado...their families are still here.would have been nice to have them both playing for the fins...

All of you were hating on McMichael in the Phins28 thread and yet he is ahead of Speery on the depth chart in San Diego. You wanted no part of McMichael but drool over some 3rd string bum like Kory Speery. Dude caught like 1 TD pass here and all of the sudden he's a FH hero. :bobdole:

John Beck gets bashed on here all the time and the guy never got a fair shake here. He played on the worst Dolphins squad in history with the least amount of talent on offense and was a rookie...don't know what anyone was expecting.

As for Sperry, don't think so. I wonder how well a 238 lbs TE is going to block linebackers. At that weight he's basically an oversized WR and I wouldn't be surprised if D-coordinators take advantage of that when he gets on the field. Just blitz from his side and see what happens.

Obviously they were expecting Beck to cure cancer, balance the national debt, walk on water and throw for 6039 yards with no INT. Just like they want from Henne. What do you expect from Finheaven?

All the John Beck Haters don't understand **** about the QB position as it relates to the NFL. This is the formula for MOST young qb to succeed in the league. Time+Coaching+System+Allegiance and Commitment from head coach+Talent+How well they perform in college during Senior year. If I'm missing something please feel free to add. And you John Beck haters can go kill yourself.

You're freudian-slip spelling says it all ... he was a "seem" threat & was cut. Had he been a bonafide seam threat, he'd be on the team.

Henne is also a "seem" threat Monday thru Saturday, but Sunday its reality!!

I cant be the only person that realizes Kory Sperry blows.

Great formula ... what happened to Henne?? Maybe Sparano cann't work polynomials with that many variables??

What happens if you put Beck and Tebow on the same team? Eternal global bliss?
