Oakland - JaMarcus

Detroit - Gaines Adams - They're in a tough spot here. They don't really need Joe Thomas...and Millen would get flamed if he took CJ. I'm not overly confident about this, but I don't think that Tampa will trade up.

Cleveland - Brady Quinn - sorry all you guys that want him. They will not take Adrian Peterson. Jamal Lewis is only 27, and they have no long-term answer at QB.

Tampa Bay - Calvin Johnson...unfortunately.

Arizona - Joe Thomas - Merry Christmas Arizona....again.

Washington - Amobi Okoye - I think they could go DE here, with Carriker or Anderson, but they need a DT, and Branch could be damaged goods.

Minnesota - Laron Landry - They need a FS, and he's the best there. I wouldn't be overly shocked if they went Reggie Nelson here either.

Atlanta - Patrick Willis - they need somebody to step up at MLB. Willis should be their guy.

Miami - here comes the first trade. Houston is guaranteed to take Adrian Peterson if we pass, so we trade with GREEN BAY, our 1st and 4th, for their 1st and 2nd. I think we take Ted Ginn with #16.

Jamaal Lewis only has a one year deal. So AP is a big possibility, although Quinn is probable. I like Ginn at #9 and love Ginn in a trade down. Unfourtnatly he won't get past the Rams.

Definitely one of the best mocks I have seen. Very realistic. I wouldn't mind taking extra picks if that is the hand we are dealt. There aren't too many players in that scenario that would be of value to us.
Detroit is the key player though. At this point, I don't think anybody has a good read on what they will do. They control the draft this year. If they trade out of the #2 then the whole board could go haywire.

Detroit doesn't have any leverage with that pick though. Nobody wants Peterson or Quinn, which would be the only motivation to jump in front of the Browns. The rest of the guys stay put, and they get what they want.

Pretty realistic mock with explanations. However:

1. Clevelard will take Peterson if Savage/Crennel have the final say.

2. Jamal Lewis has a 1 year deal and hasn't played well in 2+ years. Plus there is absolutely no one behind him.

3. Ted Ginn at 16 is still a reach IMO. Sorry just can't like a guy who refuses to go back into a championship game.

4. However if Cleveland does go with Quinn (Still highly doubtful), then a trade down to 16 for Staley would be better IMO. I know that's a reach too, but I think it's more of a need and a better fit for our team.

There will be teams that will want Peterson and for reasons I can't understand there will be teams that want Quinn.

Yeah Lewis has a one year deal, so they might take Peterson. But, I'm pretty sure they'd go for the local 'franchise qb'. Remember, the NFL is a business, and the hometown kid always puts fans in the stands. Cleveland needs a QB, and QB's are harder to find than RB's. I would say Quinn to the Browns is anything but 'highly doubtful'.

I don't know if I agree why some of the situations might happen, but I like the outcome if it happens.

This is a forum...you can offer your opinion as to what might happen.

i like the trade down but would love to see us take Joe Staley who is going to be the biggest suprise taken in the first round...

Nobody 4-9 wants Peterson.
TB, Arizona and Minnesota may have an interest in Peterson but those aren't the teams I'm really talking about. There could be alot of suitors for Peterson that aren't in the top 9. If the deal is right, Detroit could pull the trigger.
