Anybody notice that our O-Line gave up no sacks yesterday as well. NOt only That, their run Blocking improved as well. Hats off to Houck. The more tim ethey play, the better they will gel and we might have a pretty decent line towards the end of the year. Seems that our blitz pickup was top notch too :)

I like what I am seeing.

I agree!!!!
I dislike what our secondary is doing but our OL is starting to show improving signs and winning some respect.

there was some shuffling of the line too, i remember seeing mcdougal in there i thought at guard? does anyone know who was on the line the majority of the game?

Waiting for a player by player breakdown from Carrot - curious to see how everyone grades out.

Good game by the O Line. If this unit keeps improving, we might have something good..

I didn't hear Peppers or Rucker's name mentioned much yesterday. That in itself is a feat for any line.

before saying you dislike our seconday please keep in mind we were playing with the lead and they have a top 5 WR oh yeah, and that we completely stopped the run.

They had to pass to catch up, we blitzed a lot and no many NFL D's can blitz as much as we did and not give up a few plays.

I posted this in another OLine thread...

They played very cohesive, and united in scheme. I am impressed. Props to each member and Houck.

Having Ronnie produce, providing running space, giving Gus time was nice to see.

That being said, I will fully believe in them if they can back it up in consecutive games to show me that what they are working on is being retained (and not just a good game). This game is a bench mark gamel. I look forward to them raising the bar in coming games.

Lastly, if we can look back and tally more "good" games than "bad" games from this Oline unit two things will be evident. One is that the Dolphins have assembled the best Coaching Staff in football, and two, it gives the Oline some chips that they can cash-in down the line if they have an off day. But right now, they dont have any chips for the FANs to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Give me two games in a row, or more good than bad, and I will let up on them.

I am giving mad props to the o-line, wow last year Carolina would have ate us alive. No Sacks!!!! Are you kidding me...amazing guys!

I didnt get to see the game but just by hearing that we didnt give up any sacks against carlina's def. is awsome

great job to houck and our o-line
and to think that with time they will only get better

SORRY and I hate to say it but our secondary SUCKS...you can try to make all the excuses you want but it won't do you any good. And it's not just this game...the Jets threw all over us... if it wasn't for what little pressure we got on the QB in the Denver game they would have thrown all over us too (and their receivers aren't that good). 11 rec for 170 yards THAT IS JUST WRONG. And unless they fix it...it WILL HAUNT US ALL SEASON LONG. Teams are going to pick up on it ( if they haven't already ). I hate to see it when we have to play a team with two or more GOOD receivers ...we're toast.

The OL had a very nice game against a team that has a very strong front 7, even with Jenkins out. I was impressed after last week, especially. They gave Gus enough time against the Broncs, but there was no running holes. The pass protection broke down at times against the Jests and there were only a few more running holes, but this week, they neutralized Peppers, tied up Morgan in the middle and opened some holes for Brown...On the long run in the 4th qtr of Ronnies, Frerotte himself could have run thru the intial hole with Brown, it was that wide open...they collapse the entire DL and Lbs to the right, leaving the whole left side open for Brown...They also opened the running game up enough that it opened some passing lanes was well. Kudos to HH and the OL crew...I hope to see them keep that up. Saban seems to be a master of time utilization, so the extra time this week should give us time to improve even more.
