Does anyone know when Kyle Eckel will fulfill his military service? I saw him play in college and this guy was unstoppable as a short yardage runner and a good blocker. I think he'd be an excellent guy to groom under Fred Beasley.

I think Barnes will keep Beasley on his toes and Eckel will be back and have a year to round back into football shape when Beasley is ready to retire.

Eckel is likely in excellent physical condition but what he needs to do his Navy job and what he needs to be an NFL FB are very, very differant. The issue of size alone and bulk.
