I was thinking the same thing. I think he is pretty good and may be a great backup for us if he is released. I would take him over Maddox for sure.

i wouldnt count on chicago releasing orton, they're pretty high on him(as evidenced by orton getting the starting job when grossman went down)

Most teams keep 3 QB's, he is young and has a rather small contract, why would they release or trade him unless the compensation was high?

are you serious?? he didn't win a single game for the Bears....but the Bears did win a bunch of games despite him.

i'm not trying to diss him....he's not horrible, but he wasn't ready to be an NFL starter last year. I hate whne people talk him up like he's Ben Roethlisberger or something.

I think Griese was brought in to compete for the #2 spot. That was a completely different team with Grossman under center.
