Kyle is a friggin idiot there is no other explanation and so far in practice beck has looked rough and if they like beck so much why was Grossman getting first team reps. Now he is banged up But again Kyle is an idiot.

He must be an idiot. Other than that, the only other explanation is they are intentionally tanking the season to get Andrew Luck.

shanahan has no direction and to say u would have taken him 10th is quite dissapointing.

As Redskins coach Mike Shanahan tries to keep his cards close to the vest while pondering his none-of-the-above quarterback situation, an interesting anecdote has emerged from Peter King of SI.com regarding the extent to which Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan likes John Beck.
On Monday’s PFT Live (and in his latest Monday Morning Quarterback column), King shared an intereesting anecdote regarding Kyle Shanahan and the Houston Texans from the 2007 draft. “That was the JaMarcus Russell year, with Brady Quinn, Trent Edwards, Kevin Kolb and Beck,” Kyle Shanahan told King during his ongoing, 24-team camp tour. “So they asked me who I’d pick if I had the 10th pick in the draft. I told them Beck. They said he’s not worth the 10th pick in the draft. I was standing on the table for him. I’ve never seen a guy play that well in college.”
Beck ended up being the 40th overall pick, taken in round two by the Dolphins. (He was cut after only two seasons.)
Coincidentally, Texans G.M. Rick Smith also joined PFT Live on Monday, and so we asked him about the notion that Kyle Shanahan wanted the Texans to take Beck with the 10th pick in the 2007 draft. We’ll defer to Smith’s comments on the question of whether Kyle Shanahan was indeed “standing on the table” for Beck with the 10th overall pick.

how does this guy have a job. first it was the mcnabb fiasco, now beck
 
we'll see how he plays this season. There may be more than a few people on this site eating crow, especially if he hs a better season than Henne
 
Haha, I saw that too. Crazy...

There's absolutely no way that Beck would've ever justified the 10th overall pick. And I AM willing to bet on that.
 
I guess we will see who the idiot is,Shanahan or the dolphins front office for letting Beck get away,i think you are going to be surprised when you see Beck this year mark my words.
