Kyle Van Noy

From what I understand the team gave itself an easy one year out with his contract. This could be a one a doner

Could be, but if Van Noy proves himself to be a huge piece of the defense this year, Miami may try to get him to stay on for a few more years.

He's still got 2 to 3 more optimal years in him...at least.

The relationship between Kyle Van Noy and Coach Flo is very strong. He's Flo's guy and we paid top $ to get him. I strongly doubt that this is a "one and doner". He is a top class competitor and a key Defensive guy for the future.

I hope he sticks. We need guys on the roster now to step up

If Biegels injury is career threatening, Van Noy may stick around a little longer.

From the moment I listened to his interview with Travis, he immediately became a favorite for me. Seems like the ultimate bro.

true. With biegels injury I could see van noy asked to play more snaps on the ball as an offset.

and of course a one year out doesn’t mean they will take it

Didn’t see this posted, probably is though. This interview shoots Van Noy way up my list of favorite Dolphins immediately. It’s pretty epic.

Good post. Thanks! Yeah, I'm instantly a Van Noy fan.

I think he’s a very good player, does everything well, moves well in all directions, don’t see any reason forthcoming where he is one and done.

Its still pretty expensive to get out after one year. I'd call it a 2-3 yr deal with the expectation that they'd restructure after the second year either giving him an extension if hes performed beyond expectations or reduce the base salary if he has struggled.

To clarify, the out is after year 2 where he would only count as $2.75M dead cap. So, I’d imagine you hit the nail on the head with how we will handle things.
