Motivation. He is one of those guys that scouts would get legit pissed at after workouts, interviews, and watching tape. There were scouts that said he could be a dominant DT, but he just didn't care enough. Same thing was said about Vernon Gholston (a scout flat out told him to his face he thought he'd be out of the league in 5 years), and Andre Smith.

A veteran receiver with good hands. At 32 yrs. old would he provide depth at WR or are we satisfied with the WRs we have.

He said going into this he knew he could get cut and this was his last stop, also he is likely to be coming back after week 1 so his full season salary isn't guaranteed. I think it's us or retirement unless some team came at him w/ a ridiculous offer which will never happen.
