La Canfora: Dolphins exploring Dion Jordan, Mike Wallace and Cameron Wake trade

His cap number makes it easy for him to be traded. It does work both ways. He is cheap for us and that's a good reason to keep him. He is cheap and would make him look a lot better to other teams because of his reasonable contract. Makes a lot of sense. A LOT.

1) It's all a matter of price. Al Davis is gone and the Colts don't have a #1. It's not impossible, but who's going to pay what he's worth? And why should we settle for less? 2) The GM, remember, got a short contract. He can't afford to win in three years. Getting rid of your best player on the cheap doesn't sound so great. 3) Dolphin fans already hate the Dolphins. They don't show up to games. Trading Wake will only further alienate the fan base.

It's true that nobody here knows anything, but it still won't happen.

The main reason DJ isnt going to be traded is because no other team would be willing to give more than a 3rd round (at best) for him. And the fact that a trade deal wasnt done tells everything about this player. Another Ireland bust IMO.

Makes me laugh guys calling Jordan a bust after his rookie season...and entering injured! So, every pass rush success story started his rookie season, ok!!

I'm not saying he's a bust...yet, but how many pass rush success started off as poorly as Jordan? The problem isn't so much Jordan as it is Ireland picked him for a scheme he doesn't fit.

Nobody wants these bums....I'd take the trade if I got draft picks in return for 2014 and 2015. DJ is a bust based on what DumbA** Ireland did to get him....see Patriots...see their rookie D player they picked at their spot in the draft and how he did....nuff said.

Hello we got wake from canada. So first yeah means nothing. People do great first year. Then nothing the rest of their career. Or come from nothing and do great ie Kurt Warner. Time will tell

I'm not saying Jordan will be as good as these players but to answer your question of successful pass rushers who started off as poorly as Dion.

These are the players that finished their careers with 100 or more sacks in their careers who started their careers with two or fewer sacks.

Kevin Greene 160 career sacks had 0.0 sacks as a rookie.

Chris Doleman 150.5 career sacks has 0.5 sacks as a rookie.

Michael Strahan 141.5 career sacks had 1.0 sacks as a rookie.

John Randle 137.5 career sacks had 1.0 sacks as a rookie.

Doubtful. I certainly hope there is nothing to any of this. Jordan is a great prospect, Wake is a beast, and Wallace got hot towards the end of the year. Would love to see him after a full year with Tanny and a good o-line that gives him time to get open. But, its JLC, so I think we're OK.
