laCanfora: Philip Wheeler visiting Dolphins

how and he was the cardinals defensive player of the year? They don't exactly have a scrub defense either...
They had a very average defense ranked like 18th and that was thier defensive coordinator calling him their defensive mvp he wasnt their defensive player of the year. Im pretty sure if he was that damn good he would have been resigned. Campbell was much more valuable in reality and Peterson made the pro bowl.
Marshall is really not that awesome but he did well this year for birds.

A milk-carton LB??

Got milk??? Nope, not us!!! lol

I guess you forget how often Marshall has been beat like a drum at cb over his career unless you have selective memory.

I guess it doesn't really matter since he'll be playing FS for us.

I said he should be a good FS but we havent heard where he will play. I still think we overpaid for him esp when Landry was out there

I just don't understand why they used Yeremiah Bell's cap space to make this signing, I would've liked to try to get the FS from the Bengals or Landry like you said.

Thats another reason I dont buy this so called money issue when they talked about Flynn . So you spend over 5 million for a possible starting safety maybe nickle but a possible starting qb screw that lol same with signing useless hicks

I think we will know what position he plays if we draft a FS or CB in the upcoming draft.

Pray for safety. Just go back and watch some games of him starting in carolina and he was pretty below average.

You've got to think he's improved on his game since Carolina thought right?

couple of things.

1.With Marshall, as average as the Cards defense was, it was one of the better pass defenses and gave the fifth fewest pass TDs in the league.
2. Again with Marshall, his skill set fits what Coyle wants his secondary to do.
3. With Wheeler, it will be interesting. I remember him always being touted for being very athletic (loved him at GTech), but he has played wreckless. Was a horrible fit for the Tampa 2 Indy played when he was drafted, but he actually started improving a bit
