My gut says it is going to be Hickey. It is almost too easy to say Farmer. It is logical to say Gaine.

Hickey is/was with Tampa and they just hired Licht, so...

I understand why they don't want it 100% I wouldn't want to work for an Owner like Ross or be force fed a coach like Philbin. But how do you know Farmer is a good judge of talent? He has no college scouting experience.

My instinct would be Gaine above Farmer. Not a lot of research behind it but in looking at Farmer a few nights ago lots of his quotes struck me as very ordinary, things that a very sharp guy wouldn't say. I'm not talking about the religious stuff. I looked at comments he made as a player at Duke and they seemed quite simplistic. He's undoubtedly a solid hard working guy. We need brilliant.

I don't know much about Gaine. But I wouldn't lazily link him to Jeff Ireland and assume he's nothing but a clone. That's misplaced fear.

Jason LaCanfora tweeted out that Ray Farmer, Brian Gaine and Dennis Hickey are the finalists with Omar Khan, Brian Xanders and Lake Dawson eliminated. Farmer is the front runner.

No offense, but why do any of you care what JLC says about anything? Have you not come to terms with how completely unreliable he is on everything? This guy should be a tabloid 'reporter.'
