I'm back in Florida BABY!
Bentley was on with Jim Rome today and after listening to Bentley talk, it's obvious that he does NOT want to go back to New Orleans. When asked about going out and testing free agency, he sounded like a kid in a candy store speaking to all the possibilities and what's out there ... When asked if he's looking to get paid or looking to play for a winner, he said, winning is the biggest thing on his mind, but he does believe he's earned the right to seek a better contract as well. Finally, when asked how he'd feel if he were franchised by the Saints, he paused and said that it wouldn't be fair and that he would be angry, but that he'd still give a 100%, but for himself because that's what professionals do.

I don't know what he's going to be asking for $$ wise, but, he sounds like he really wants out of New Orleans and he's a pro bowl center.. I really hope that Saban and Mueller have this guy on their radar and that we have a good chance of signing him..

He is going to want to be paid top dollar. He is going to probably want around the same contract that Kruetz got from Chicago a couple years ago which was like 5yrs for 26million and like an 8million signing bonus.

It does'nt matter what Bentley wants...when the Saints throw the franchise tag on him he is not going anywhere.

I think Rex Hadnot will be a pretty good center. We need to look at a right guard in my opinion, not a center.

A good completion percentage is important for one thing other than just moving the ball... it is the single biggest factor in avoiding 4-and-outs.

Yep.

Bentley played RG his first two years in the league.

Bentley can play RG or C. But he will be looking for a whole lot of money....And Im sure one team will pay him that, Im just not sure that team is us.

Lecharles would be a great FA addition to this team!!! Whens the last time we had a pro bowl lineman??? Webb???

In this free agent period we should be targeting Bentley and Hutchinson from the Seahawks as our top prorities. Toss whatever money it takes to get either of them, if not both.

Bentley was on FSN "The drive with Chris Myers and Bryan Cox" and he himself said he would love to play for the home town Browns and prefers to play Center instead of Guard.

Bentley has reason to be excited. He's a young, dominating player coming off a Pro Bowl selection.

I doubt the Saints would franchise him as they wold then have to pay him among the top 5 tackles in the NFL. Something that a center just isn't worth.

I wold love him down here. He would be a great pickup and everyone always wants to play for miami
