I was shocked yesterday by the few carries Brown got. Clearly... clearly Ronnie and Ricky are our best offensive weapons. Atlanta committed to the run, but we got away from it early..

There has been such great debate about our Qb, and Wrs, and the Oline.. It was obvious the runnin game was coming around in the second half.. then just as we were getting some rhythm, what do we do.. gimmick play....Arrgh!

Ronnie and Ricky needs 30-35 carries per game. I would dare to say 40 carries. We're not fooling anyone in the passing game. We think we got a bad a$$ Oline.. well then line them up and let our best players pound the ball.

Let's not try and create an identity with something that isn't there. We're a running team.. then just run it. We haven't invested in a true WR threat. With Ricky, Ronnie, Cobbs , Hilliard and Polite we should just shove the rock right down peoples throats!

I just couldn't agree with you more. When I saw Ronnie's stats in the 1st half I was pretty mad... 4 carries for Brown in the 1st half? You have GOT to be kidding me.

I agree. Ricky and Ronnie are our best offensive players. However......with what we average in the run game per carry, I'm not sure we can consistently make first downs at this time sticking to the run. We do have enough talent to run the ball with a pretty decent o-line and our RB's. We are outnumbered though when it comes to other teams stopping the run. The defenses are cheating up on us and the holes are closing too fast. I am not one of those guys who keeps begging to go get Anquan Boldin or Brandon Marshall. Those two guys may not "specifically" be the answer. But I AM CONVINCED now that we HAVE TO get SOMEONE on the outside who scares the hell out of opposing defenses! ONLY THEN will our run game really open up. Trust me on this. I sincerely hope the front office realizes this as well and makes some kind of move. Teddy Ginn needs to be our #2 and Bess, Hartline and Cam need to work the slots. If this happens I think we are capable of beating anyone.

Thats what Sparano wants to do.. Yesterday was an anomaly with four turnovers and it took away our running game because we got down late.. Then Henning and his crappy playcalling also takes away the run in opportune times. We need to do be able to run against the colts and keep the ball out of mannings hands.

Exactly.. it's not like we're fooling anyone. Our Qb certainly isn't scaring anyone. Our receivers aren't scaring anyone. Why pretend to be something we're not. There may be some 3 and outs.. but at least show you have a committment to it.

At the same time I don't want a return of Wannyball.. but it would certainly help other aspects of our game.

Also.. the pat White experiment was nifty.. but not that nifty. The Wildcat is going to be the most effective having ronnie running it. Puttung White as a receiver maybe the best thing to so.. as you can lateral to him and left either run in open space you throw a pass...

But to have you're pest player barely touch the ball is appalling!

Going into the half we're were only down by 10.. hardy a reason for Ronnie only to have 4 touches.

We need a receiver that not only scares someone but also can produce every week.

Here's a perfect example....Fitzgerald had 71 yds and they are disappointed he didn't get more.

I have to think Henning just got scared because we were down 10-0 going into the half and thats why he left the run.. I was ticked off when I saw Ronnie ony touched the ball 10 times.

I completely agree. I truly cannot stand Hennings freakin play calling anymore

All the gimmick plays we really p****** me off!

Like I said.. we don't have the team that is going to excite many.. so just line up.. and pound the damn ball..

i don't know about you.. But I'll like chances with R&R, Cobbs abd Polite.

Lets get some celebrites that run....that should help....

Everyone is crying our Oline sucked on the pass rush and never gave Penny a chance, well what's the best way to slow down a pass rush........run the friggin' ball. People are crying over Long's performance but is he a run blocking specialist or pass protector. The point is we put people in position to fail instead of positions to succeed. Pounding that rock would have given us 3rd and manageables all game long instead we threw most of the time under constant pressure, this made no sense especially how we're built.

We as a team and coaching staff blew this game, Atlanta is a good football team but we helped them out alot on Sunday.

It never makes sense to me when Sparano always says we need to have Ronnie with 20 something carries a game. I don't think we EVER run on 3rd downs...that might surprise a team every once in awhile you know. We run on 1st, 2nd and 3rd...commit to it and we'll make 1st downs. We must run the ball to win and it always annoys me seeing our team get away from it!

17 total carries, and yes... the gimmick plays on 2nd down was annoying.
It was so predictable.

Run on 1st down.
Pass or gimmick on 2nd down.
Pass on third and long.
then punt on 4th down.
