LaConfora: Fins closing in on deal for Moreno

Anyone else find it funny that Jason still hasn't reported that Moreno actually signed? All the other major writers have reported it.

Jason La Canfora, first to post BS, last to report actual signings.

Probably knows we got a got a good deal and is pouting about it in the corner.

I'm just laughing right now. All that bashing of the man lately and he's right about Moreno.

Your hero LaCanfora got a story right. Yay! What is he batting now? .100? .150? Come back to us when he actually hits the Mendoza Line.

One doesn't have to "follow" someone in the sports media to know how good (or in this case awful) one is at their job. How this guy manages to keep his is beyond me. Must have major dirt on his bosses or something.

If you did, you'd be well aware how dead wrong he is most of the time.

OK make this easy for me .... recite for me all these dastardly reports he's come out with that were completely off-base to the point that makes him a hack writer.

On this forum I honestly can't tell what writer anyone will even listen to anymore. Anytime something comes out negative about the team or there's a report about trade talks it's immediately admonished and the character assassination of the writer begins.

Well, just off the top of my head...last offseason we were on the verge of signing Jared Cook from Tennessee, Jake Long was heavily leaning towards accepting Miami's offer and a deal was being finalized and we weren't going to franchise Randy Starks.

There was more, and that's not even counting all this year's "trading Dion Jordan and Mike Wallace" monstrosity.

Getting one report right doesn't erase all the reports he got wrong, that does not make him credible at all. If Jason La Canfora wants to be taken seriously again from fans and even his fellow media peers, he needs to be much more accurate on a much more consistent basis. Being wrong more than right is what makes him such a bad reporter. I hope behind the scenes that CBS is aware of this and have had these discussions with him and put his job status on notice. Ultimately his consistent poor reporting relects negatively towards them.

We will see if Mike Wallace gets traded, because if he doesn't, that might be the biggest black eye La Canfora has had to date.
