It doesn't matter when they were sent. In the legal world he has years to get his evidence together. He was probably talking to lawyers well before the season started getting enough evidence together. I got hit by car running a stop sign and my back is screwed forever. I have 3 years to get my stuff together. I don't owe anybody an explanation of what happened when until I'm ready to tell. Same with Martin, this isn't just a prank anymore, this illegal. Threatening your family, extorting money, harassment, racial insults? Seriously, if someone did that you at work you would rely on your boss to fix it? Get real.

Yes it is very important, and it is even more important did Martin give the Dolphins proof, the txt and voice mail proof that Cog was doing what Martin was claiming.

To me I find it almost impossible to believe that Martin would show Philbin proof that Cog was a nut job and Philbin wouldn't have cut Cog within 10 secs. The voice mail Cog left was inhuman and if someone ever left me a voice mail or txt like that I'd either kill em, or if I calmed down I'd go to the Police and file a report.

Yes it's one of the most important facts in all of this, and just as important why didn't Martin give up the proof (txt and voice mail) to the Dolphins when he went to visit Philbin earlier in the year?

The truth is irrelevant to most of those media outlets. But they have no problem being politically correct and pushing a POV on a stupid public. Going so far that the term 'bullying' is now being used for this case. Which alot of people here are parroting.

Most people here, would handle this situation much differently than Martin. Most here couldn't walk off the job and think they still were owed something. Most here don't save text messages or VMs from April. People who refuse to understand that Martin isn't blameless in his immaturity in dealing with a professional work place, are the problem in today's society. This is the age of the purple marker and the 'participation' award, where no one wants to be offended.

Martin had a path to remedy his situation. He saved his 'proof' for the media, left his team in a tough spot during a work week. And people are suppose to feel sorry for the SOB? Nope not here. Many people have had to deal with characters at work who mutter things that would make your skin crawl. But many of us don't walk off the job. Many of us don't run to the papers. Many of us, deal with it and move on.

I completely understand your point of view. I've dealt with bullying from my boss for over 14 years. But I didn't leave. I defend myself. I have the right to make a living. No matter who the bully is.

But, I want you to realize that not everyone has the ability to stand up for themselves. Those people do need protecting. There is no right way or wrong way for a victim to respond. The offender crossed the ethics and morals of right and wrong when they introduced their attack on the victim.

It seems you respect process and hierarchy, but when the process or hierarchy has broken down as a result of the situation... the victim is still the victim. And when those in charge of protecting the process fail to do their jobs, the victim has every right to pursue justice by any means.

If he participated and respected the process and it failed him, Martin took matters into his own hands and should not be further victimized for taking the next available course of action he deemed fit.

Let's let all of the details come out about what was done, the paths taken and the responses received before we make the mistake of victimizing a victim simply to entertain our own pride.

Don't be afraid to learn the truth.
