As a huge Boxing fan, i am really looking forward to these fight, specially Lacy Calzaghe. I do expect a tough fight from Calzaghe, but think he will get knocked out by the better Lacy in about 6 or 7. As for Cotto vs Branco, I feel it should be an easy win for Cotto, he dosnt seem to really be challanging anyone big yet, but I still enjoy watching him fight. I didnt see any threads on this so thought I would post, and get everyone elses opinions on these fights. There should be some Boxing fans out there right?

I'm right there with you. I added this to my sig earlier this week to let people know. Amazing how there are not more fight fans here.

I am amazed at the lack of fight fans on this board.

I love it man, but theres not much you can do to see it here at college...

Lacy's got some serious grapefruits fighting that dude in his own backyard. I hope he wins too. LOVE the guy!! Closest thing to Tyson that this generation has. Would love to see Cotto make quick work of Branco.

i love boxing, but ****s hard to keep up with. i dont have HBO or Showtime. the only time i get to watch it is on ESPN friday night fights or when somebody wants to buy a pay per view fight and i can go to their house and throw down on it.

I've always wanted to write a weekly column here to keep fans abreast as to whats going on. And your right Nappy, with all the big time fights on Pay Per View or premium channels, it's tough to follow unless you are truly hardcore.

I'll start writing up some weekly wrapups tomorrow night here in this forum and see if they catch fire.

I couldn't see the fight. But ESPN and the scorecards said Lacy was dominated. :(

The judges scored the bout 119-105, 119-107, 119-107 in favor of Calzaghe.

Lacy goes down for the first time in his career. 12th round.

keep an eye out on ike quartey and his comeback for me dubs... - he's always been a personal favorite of mine

Lacy was exposed tonight. I'm saddened by what I saw. Calzaghe took him to the woodshed. Kudos to him.

I'll keep you posted on the warrior from Ghana d-day. Dont worry.
