His agent told he will not sign after rd 3.
What if fins negotiate him to offer round 3 money, and draft in rd 4-5? Is it ok with NFL regulation??

His agent is an idiot if he really believes sitting out a year will help him get drafted in one of the top 3 rounds next year. Lose a $600,000 a year salary and be a year older?

If La'EL truly had nothing to do with that murder, he'll suck it up, play his ass off and work for a big contract in 3 years. It's not like drafting him in round 3 or round 7 made a big difference in the end. Not even a 500K difference over 3 years. That is nothing and you'd make that up easily by playing this year.

I've heard more about threats to sit out rather than him handling his business in Baton Rouge and clearing his name. Innocent or not, he kind of ****ed himself by his actions, or lack there of.

Great post bro!

i dont think you can just break the rookie wage scale

also if he goes undrafted he will be forced into a set deal limit and wont be able to enter the draft next year. however he will be able to sign as a free agent.

The question now is whether or not he'd play for the team that drafted him..

The idea that he can re enter the draft again by missing a year off of football just doesn't make sense to me. You are only 21 years old dude . . . you were NOT a bonafide first round pick . . . many mocks had you going into round 2 before this all happened.

Jarvis Landry got a 4 years, 3.5 million dollar contract for being a 2nd rounder . . . . and Terrence Fede got a 4 year, 2.2 million dollar contract for being a 7th rounder. 1.3 million, which after taxes make the net on that less than a million dollars. You are going to sit out and lose 600K this year on the whim that you can become a first or 2nd round pick after being a year away from football? What a joke.

Him signing as a UDFA has drawbacks and benefits . . . being able to sign with his own team can allow him to figure out the best situation for him to have ultimate success and earn that big pay day in 3 years . . . 3 years, if he's played well, a team would put a high tender on him and increase that salary where as being drafted you are stuck for 4 years. On the other hand, there is no guaranteed money to speak of so its gotta be a "lets work" attitude every day.

And FFIC brings up a great point . . . . teams may not draft him just because they don't want their organization associated with a guy who could be an eventual suspect in a murder case. They'd rather wait and see how it plays out and then go after his services.

Id take a risk on him . Nobody has came out and said he murdered anyone . Is there something here I'm not aware about ?
