Being a bobcats fan...im looking at this more as a depth thing then anything. The starting roster now looks like this for the bobcats

PG - Brevin Knight
SG - Kareem Rush
SF - Gerald Wallace
PF - Emeka Okafor
C - Primoz Brezic

Thats how it looks now...But im thinking With how they drafted they have to work Felton into the lineup somehow, I'd say play him some at SG but Felton is pretty short at 6 foot tall, but hey whatever works. This is how i'd like to see it looking

PG - Brevin Knight
SG - Raymond Felton
SF - Gerald Wallace
PF - Sean May
C - Emeka Okafor

That line up would make us competitive atleast and win more then 18 games

Desmond Mason and a first rounder were sent to New Orleans/OK City today for Jamal Magloire today also!

PG - Brevin Knight
SG - Raymond Felton
SF - Gerald Wallace
PF - Sean May
C - Emeka Okafor

Felton is no 2G. He can't shoot. Once May is healthy they've gotta work him in their at PF but he'll probably guard the larger of the post players instead of Okafor.

PG-Felton
2G-Rush
SF-Wallace
PF-May
C-Okafor

I honestly think Okafor is the next Ben Wallace only he will score more. I don't like Raymond Felton, I don't think he's a great point guard and I think his he was drafted high because of he was on a good North Carilona team that won it all. I think May is undersized even for PF in the NBA but he finds ways to score and I think he has enough talent to be an 18 and 8 guy in the NBA. Rush is a good shooter, about it and for some reason I like Gerald Wallace a lot. I think it's his athleticism I like but I've always thought he was an underrated player who just needed a chance to showcase his talents. He's a player I hope has a breakout season and I like the start the Bobcats have had to their franchise. 25 wins this year IMO!

Tell that to North Carolina who just won the national championship with feltons shooting abilities. He was the most balanced pg in the draft...Brevin is gonna be hard to unseat cause the guy was an assist machine last year despite charlottes first season. I think if charlotte can stay competitive they could pull off 30 or more wins this year

I've been to 4 of Felton's games @ Cole Field House, he's not a shooter. That is his game's biggest weakness. Having him play without the ball is a huge mistake. They won the NC because of his passing abilities of getting the ball to Sean May in the post & McCants on the fast break. Felton had a good night shooting from behind the ark at 19' 9" vs Illinois, but now that line moves back to 23' 9". He's not going to be hitting that too often.

Deron Williams was college's most balanced PG in the draft because he can shoot, that's why he was selected ahead of Felton.

Agreed, the knock on Felton since highschool has been his outside shooting, which he works on every year to improve. Deron Williams was the best PG in college last year and he has been tearing it up in the preseason. Could be the next great PG in Utah..

Shooting is hardly Felton's greatest weakness. You can bring up his drive and dish game if you want, or his overconfidence in his dribbling ability. People got on him for his shooting because of his first two years, his first the disaster with Doherty, and his second the slightly less disasterous first season of Williams. Once the coaching staff started working with him on his shooting, he regained his touch from his high school days, when he was the best shooter in the country. Last year Felton was the best shooter in the ACC, far ahead of that much heralded white boy playing at Duke, and a hell of a lot better than Deron.

Williams was drafted b/c of his performance in the tourney, great defensive play, and size. Shooting ability was certainly far down that list. Anyone who hits less than 40% of his threes at the college level doesnt project to be a three point shooter in the nba.
