Ok, this has been the most entertaining game of the most entertaining series of the opening round. The back and forth, the crowd being involved throughout. The peskiness of Tim Thomas NEVER missing a shot and the will, grit and determination of the Lakers to eventually pull it out. Amazing.

At this point, I am not sure the Suns can even muster up a fight for the next game. Nash and D'Antoni looked like defeated men after that collapse. As a Laker fan, I want to see L.A. advance A.S.A.P. However, as a basketball fan, I want this series to go seven for my entertainment.

:woot:This has been unbelievable! I don't know what happen to the Lakers I watched all season, but these guys ain't them.I'm completely shocked at the Lakers stlye of play.Phil Jackson is a genius,Kobe looks like Magic friggin' Johnson out there wow! 3-1 series lead but it's not over yet.

I'm glad that the Lakers are 3-1 on the Suns. I can't stand the Suns at all. They are just like the Colts in the NFL. They will never go anywhere until they get them a defense out there.

Not to change the subject, but did you NOT watch the Colts last year? That defense was very solid. But actually, Nash is the weakest link defensively. Phoenix actually does have some good defenders, most notedly, Boris Diaw.

I am wondering why the Lakers would play the Clippers in the next round...while two teams that are a whole lot better (The Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs go at it). I think Dallas and San Antonio should be the Western Conference final...but it won't be because of the stupid way they seed playoff teams in the NBA.

They seed them based on record and whether they won their division. Same as every other playoff system in pro sports. What is the beef?

They had a pretty good defense, but I don't know how long it will keep on going though. I'm just not sold on there defense just yet. I need to see another year if they can play the same way.

Now back on topic......

Phil Jackson is a great coach. It was easy to just say anyone could have won with MJ and not give him an ounce of credit but he's proving the he can coach in the playoffs to anyone that doubted him before. Kobe is as clutch as they come. I can't stand the Lakers but their run is entertaining as a fan of the game.

Kobe's rep is growing with each game. If they pass this round, Kobe will be a fan-fav. again..well at least he'll be liked more then he is now.

Kobe is simply the best player in the NBA & is proving it night after night. If these sorry Lakers make it to the conference finals there can no longer be any talk about how he doesn't make his team better.

The Lakers are playing team basketball, which wasn't the case for Kobe's first year and a half or so leading the team. Kobes assists and rebounds are up and his scoring is down-in the playoffs. Whats weird is that they don't need him to throw in 50 a night to beat the Suns because they are getting solid play from just about everyone. Phil Jackson has them playing team ball and defense. It helped that Nash made some bad plays down the stretch. Kobe is the most clutch player and best all around player right now, I can't stand the guy but he can play. He was unquestionably the MVP and its a disgrace that Nash won it twice in a row, one was plenty for a pg that can't even spell defense.

I really think Walton being in the starting line-up has influenced things as well.
