Seems like it could be right if you consider the amount of touches he had and his production per touch. Just a clarification from the article as I noticed a couple posters mentioning his value based on salary. Miller was rated #1 in Expected Points Added. His value based off of his paycheck is different. His value is great right now.
13.5 rushes a game and he produced 1099 yards, 8 TDs, and 5.1 ypc. That's impressive. He scored a TD on 3.7% of his carries. That's surprisingly high. Consider the workhorse backs such as DeMarco who scored a TD on .7% of his carries. The deviation makes sense because he would run the ball an average of 24.5 times a game. But even taking into consideration that he ran the ball twice as much per game, Miller is still more efficient per a TD% metric. **THIS DOES NOT BY ANY STRETCH MEAN MILLER IS BETTER THAN DeMARCO**. I have to make that clear with some posters' tendencies to take a statement like that and make blanket assumptions. It just shows that Miller was efficient and generally ran the ball in situations where he would be most likely to produce. I credit Lazor's scheme for this and Miller's growth as a back.
That being said, at this point in his career he should not be considered a workhorse guy, and we should continue to maximize his impact on offense by scheming around his skill set. I would love to add a complimentary bruiser for short yardage situations, and would like to see Damien Williams continue to grow. He was explosive at times and showed good vision. Miller also has to work on his stone hands. Add some quality G play and we can have some more success in this aspect.
