Lamar Miller sucks

Daniel Thomas is gone so I guess he is the next up to complain about.

he's pretty explosive and can catch the ball out of the backfield pretty well. doesn't run with any strength, but in a zone blocking scheme he makes for a fine rb2/change of pace back. fumbling has never really been a huge problem of his, so....not understanding the harsh criticism.

Let's just say I've been completely disappointed in his play up until yesterday's game.

He ran a lot harder than I've ever seen him. I think Moreno's play might have sparked some competitive fire. Not to mention Lazor's playcalling is brilliant for creating space for good run game opportunities.

I don't like what I've seen in 2 seasons from miller. Even on the swing for TD he tripped over his feet. Good thing it wasn't 3rd and 7. I think he plays w very low football IQ. Hopefully after today he's the no2 back.

Miami Northwestern and UM graduate. Just sayin..

I get the fumble was frustrating.....but he ran the ball well yesterday and the presence of Moreno seems to have elevated his play. Let's see what he can do this year.....I wouldn't be surprised if he has a big year.

The fumble was frustrating but its silly to crucify him for that when it was just a freak occurence. He ran really hard yesterday, and at the finish of the runs I couldn't always tell if it was Miller or Moreno because they were both getting those extra yards while they were going down. He also did a nice job in the passing game which is going to be more dangerous going forward. Tannehill will have to get better on the timing of those throws for Miller to maximize them, he was throwing a second too late yesterday.

The one thing I really noticed yesterday is what is really going to hold Miller back. He could lose his balance on a popcorn seed. He simply doesn't have the ability to stay upright that the good ones have. You have to be able to stay on your feet when you get a glancing blow to be a top shelf runner in this league. He has the speed and vision of a very good back, but half the time he sees his lane he gets tripped up before he can maximize it.

This thread is pathetic and sad. Our team just beat the AFC favorite to go to the Super Bowl, and you want to bitch & moan about what you mistakenly think is a bad game by a RB. You should reallyy look to a different team, if you have not already. LOL

maybe you need to realize he created this thread before the half.

Where is Daniel Thomas? Oh thats right Unemployed. Yet folks on FH thought she still had the Goods. Nope, Ireland Hack. Miller is not too far behind. Damien is better...

Moreno fumbled the ball just after he crossed the goal line on what would have been a much bigger play had we lost that one. It was a very risky play, the only difference was he had already broken the plane of the goal. But had a teammate recovered Miller's and Moreno lost his this would be a different thread although neither of them would have done anything different. Moreno is the starter and Miller is the backup, but Miller is a very good backup if he is used properly.

Criticizing Moreno for the ball coming out of his hand on the ground in the end zone would be naive and bad criticism. Any player with half a brain in the NFL knows the ball just has to cross the plain of the goal and what happens afterwards is irrelevant. Most players can also see pretty clearly when their arm is within length of the line and when they can get it over. Every couples of games I see someone do the same thing Moreno did, and its simply bad awareness and bad football to not do what he did there. Rarely do I ever see someone in those circumstances actually fumble, because again players can pretty clearly tell when there arm can reach over the goal. What I do see every now and then is a QB who tries to stretch the ball over the linemen on a sneak and lose control, but that's a lot different.

He ran for 4 first downs on 11 carries averaging 5.4 yards. He had 4 catches and 1 was a TD.

I don't know on what planet this sucks.

Did he make some mistakes? Yes but overall he was very good and explosive. The fumble was unfortunate but the crown of the helmet hit the ball perfectly as he was going down. Miller came back and protected the ball. He's going to be really good the more he gets comfortable out there.

Two things.. 1 he averaged over 5 yards per Carry. Don't think that qualified as horrible. Second... He brings an element to this offense that no other back on the team brings and that's big play ability. His speed is a complete mismatch for LB's so they have to respect him underneath which opens up the intermediate routes.

He fumbled at the end of the 2 best runs in his career. Last year against the Bengals and this one.

He's another Jeff Ireland special.

Mental midget.

While youre busy having a post ireland bash session, let's see how the man in charge see it.

### Lazor, on Miller: “I feel like since we’ve been playing real games here that Lamar’s shown the ability to understand when it’s time to put his shoulder down and go, and that he’s done it. I’m expecting big things from him. When you have a guy that can make big plays in space and also shows the willingness and ability to put his shoulder down and get the tough yards, I think you have a chance to have a complete back. I think Lamar’s on track to do that. I think he understands it and he wants to.”

Mind you if it weren't for a holding call and a bad throw by Tannehill, Lamar might of had 3 td's on Sunday. Whatever!..

He could still be very good and Joe knows it. I like the RB combo Knowshon and Lamar.
There will probably be some games where Knowshon isn't a beast and Lamar will make a bigger contribution.
Miller was a decent 4th round value Draft pick, irrespective of whether Ireland or Hickey picked him.

Miller may not be "the guy" but he is certainly capable of being "the other guy" who spells Moreno and can add some out side speed to the combination. 10 - 12 carries and a few passes a game. If he gets hot leave him in and give Moreno a break so all legs are fresh.
RB's get nicked up and we'll probably need all three before the year is over.
