Lamar Miller is day to day
The MRI results are back for Lamar Miller.

They reveal he has an AC joint sprain. He is day to day.

An AC joint sprain is also more commonly known as a shoulder separation.

An AC joint sprain is a relatively common sporting injury affecting the shoulder and is characterized by tearing of the connective tissue and ligaments of the Acromio-Clavicular joint.

The AC joint is responsible for connecting the shoulder blade with the clavicle and allows for some shoulder movement. During certain activities, stretching forces are placed on the AC joint. When these forces are excessive and beyond what the AC joint can withstand, tearing of the ligaments and connective tissue of the AC joint may occur. This condition is known as an AC joint sprain.

Miller suffered the injury to his left shoulder in the third quarter of Sunday victory over San Diego. It seems unlikely he will be practicing Tuesday when Miami players return to work.

Looks like he's gonna be ok good news!!

Hope so. And if not, D Williams needs to step up cuz i sure don't trust relying on Thomas. Our recently Top 10-level performing QB needs a ****ing running game threat besides himself!

Let him start but only give him a few carries. Let Williams get a chance to show off more of what we have already seen. It took Miller a few years to get up to the speed of the NFL game, and I think Williams just needs some time to really be a special back. Williams has very good speed as well and much more strength to break tackles. He is hard to bring down. He is more of the power back that we lost when we lost Moreno. Thomas has the size but he doesn't run with power. He is a big guy that tries to run with finesse. I like Williams a lot more.

Is the left shoulder the one he hurt in college?

They're both bad. If it's anything like it was with the Canes he'll be favoring one side and won't run as effectively as he has been. Might be better just to sit him out a week.

Shot of cortisone and he'll be good to go.

Don't think I would risk it against Detroit. That's a dirty defense...and I don't mean nasty I mean dirty as in cheap shot. I wouldn't put it past them to try and intentionally hurt Miller in his bad shoulder.

Expect him to miss this game. Not good news at all. I think they're making it sound better than what it is.

we still have LaMichael James in the bullpen, do we not? might be time to lather him up a little...

As I said before...any call up from the practice squad means we have to cut a player.

Although, we did lose Michael Thomas for the year but they may want to sign a DB.

Hope he doesn't revert back to his Canes days shoulder injury.

Shy away from contact, wouldn't fight for extra yards.

:bobdole:

Rather sit him a couple of weeks until healthy and let Williams carry the rock.

Not like we will be running effectively against the Lions and Bills anyways.

I separated my shoulder playing hockey in high school. I can't imagine playing a week later. It freakin hurt and limited my range of motion. Is prefer they rest him a week.

I heard word on finsiders that Jordan Kovacsc tweeted he was headed back to miami.
