Sence Zach Got cut do u think that we will try and pick him up in FA and move Channing Crowder to the Inside and Have Joey Porter and Lance Briggs on the Outside

I will be pretty surprised if Miami doesn't make a big time run at Briggs, who is a lot more than a "cover 2 WLB".

I agree with Boomer. This might have been my first thought when Thomas was Cut...although I would have waited until I knew that I could get Briggs first. With all this cap room...Miami better be preparing for a huge run at some FAs... The fan base is pretty upset today. I'm sad, but truth be told this day was coming sooner rather than later.

depends on what defense you guys go with. with your d/c coming from dallas i have to think they're leaning towards a 3-4. If that's that case I don't think Briggs will play OLB, but is big enough to be the other MLB next to Channing.

I agree. It's sad but inevitable given age, injuries to the brain, cost and the new regime.

I also think if Miami goes for big, it will be players in their prime. Briggs would certainly fit that bill.

Lance Briggs is a lot better then people give him credit for, releasing Zach and getting a younger linebacker that can cover was a smart move.

Yea i agree i think he is alot better then he gets Credit for even though Brian is a better LB doesnt mean that he Makes Briggs as good as he is

The flexibility to make the necessary moves is much more important than making a huge FA run all in one year. Signing a bunch of expensive FA this year alone is going to limit our flexibility in the long run. We're in complete rebuilding mode now, and that's one sure-fire way to dig ourselves back into this hole we're starting to climb out of.

I really hope we don't sign him. He seems like a malcontent, and is better suited to play a 4-3 defense.

Why do I get the feeling that all this cap money is going to be blown on overpriced FA's to make us competitive as quickly as possible. I'll give Parcells the benefit of the doubt, but this looks like Saban's plan all over again to me.

If u give me tape of him Playing the 3-4 and not Playing good then i will believe that he is Better Suited for the 4-3 if he has Never played the 3-4 how do u know he wont Suceed in it or be Better then he is now
