is still out there. He KNOWS the defense and was a solid player for us last year.

Remember watching a replay of last year's Carolina game. He had the game-sealing interception and the momentum turning fumble hit.

I say we pick him up and get him in here right away. Veteran presence and a very good player.

:dolphins:

i agree 100 percent i didnt know why we got rid of him in the first place, he is a very good player

yeah i know we got allen, and he was still a great pick, but he is still learning, why not pick up a guy that can help this team until jason learns the defense?

i think the front office staff may already have thought of this... maybe thats why it hasnt happened.

I realize his experience would be useful, but i can't seem to shake the second jets game last year when doug jollie torched him right and left, with brooks bollinger tossin the rock.

I hated that!

Nick Saban said he wanted faster defensive backs. That is why Schulters is not a member of the Dolphins anymore. He simply doesn't have the desired speed.

Speed is great, but I'd rather have a safety that is in the right place at the right time - especially at THAT position. He's the last line of defense - literally - and Schulters was solid most of the year.

He is on the shelf for some reason. He had that great play against Carolina but he was very bad late in the season. So bad that neither Saban or any other NFL team has shown interest in him so far.

Too slow.

No one else has signed him which should be a clue! Schulters was bought in as a 1 year band aid, he's to slow and just as prone to mental errors as our current safetys. This would be a backward step IMO

Too slow? but experienced, will make the right calls in defensive secondary, look guys we got burnt by a TE whose slower than my grandma, let's bring the guy in to teach jason allen.

schulters had 4 int's last year, so he was productive, our safeties this year are fast but they couldn't run that TE down last Thursday--hmhmhm.

Schulters was burnt for a 60 yarder (and left flat on his @ss) by the considerably slower Doug Jolley last season so i wouldn't read much into that. Also if Schulters is so great why did no one else even attempt to sign him?

any chance we could give it a rest with all the Lance Schulter threads/talk?
