Landry - 8 Catches, 39 Yards In Loss To Steelers

Landry has been showing that it wasn't Miami's scheme that produced his lack of yardage. It is the type of player he is......possession guy without any kind of ability to make downfield catches or take a short pass to the house. I like him, but paying him the kind of money he was demanding would have been a mistake.

This year he's caught he's on pace to caught 98 for 1056 yards and 4 touchdowns. In his last three seasons, he averaged 105 catches for 1093 yards and 6 TDs, so his numbers are a little bit down in Cleveland. But not only are they down a little, it's come on more targets....his pace would see him targeted 188 times this season whereas he was targeted an average of 152 times per year in Miami.

So the comparison is: 184 passes, 98 completions for 1056 yards and 4 TDs in Cleveland to
152 passes, 105 completions for 1093 yards and 6 TDs in Miami.

Basically if the completion percentage and yards per pass in Cleveland (53% and 5.7 ypp) were a quarterback, they'd be Josh Allen.
If the numbers and completion percentage were a quarterback in Miami, he'd be Kirk Cousins.

You know it's a sad season when Dolphins fans have to use a poor outing by Landry as a glimmer of positivity.
