Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews once again played key roles for the Dolphins on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, continuing their emergence as one of the top wide receiver tandems in the NFL.

Landry scored the game-winning touchdown early in the fourth quarter, while Matthews led the Dolphins with 93 receiving yards on five catches. And it was his 43-yard catch-and-run on the final play of the third quarter that set up Landry’s game-winner.

Those two have been consistent all season, as the numbers indicate.

• Landry and Matthews are first and second on the team with 60 and 42 receptions, respectively. This would mark the eighth consecutive season wide receivers finish first and second for the Dolphins in receptions. The streak began after running back Ronnie Brown was second on the team in catches in 2007.

• With 102 combined receptions, Landry and Matthews are tied for second-most productive wide receiver tandem in the NFL so far this season. They are tied with Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown; Atlanta’s Julio Jones and Leonard Hankerson; and the New York Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. and Reuben Randle.

• The only wide receiver duo with more catches is the Denver Broncos’ Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, who have 114.

• The Dolphins are one of only six teams in the NFL with two wide receivers with at least 42 catches, along with the Broncos, Jets (Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker), Raiders (Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper), Redskins (Pierre Garcon and Jamison Crowder), Lions (Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate) and Jaguars (Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns).

• The 102 combined catches are the second-most for a Dolphins wide receiver tandem through nine weeks behind only the 103 recorded by Brandon Marshall (55) and Davone Bess (48) in 2011.

• With 60 catches through nine games, Landry is on pace for 106 for the season, which easily would beat the franchise record of 90 set by O.J. McDuffie in 1998.

I wish we'd use Landry for more than bubble screens, three yard crossers, and the occasional slant.

He's going to be such a weapon when we do.

These 2 are great together. Add in stills and another duo in Miller and Ajayi and we have a pretty good thing going!
