The season hasn't even even started and everyone keeps on saying Landry is going to be our slot WR..please tell me WHY and have a good reason that makes sense behind it????? when i watch him to me he is a versatile wr with potential to be a # 1 just by his intensity and hard work that he brings to the game, and His game reminds me of a Hinds Ward/Reggie wayne type of guy, with amazing Hands . Landry is very confident and the ceiling for him is rising. He is more then just a slot wr. If crabtree or jennings isnt signed dont be surprised next year when Landry is our # 1 WR , stills is our # 2 WR and Mathews is our # 3 slot WR. Mathews ...# 4wr will be who ever we draft in round 1,2, or 4...

the reason why:

Landry-----has more of a connection with Tannehill then any Wr on our roster, they have a lot of chemistry from the day landry step foot on the field in training camp, while everyone wanted Tannehill to develop that chemistry with Wallace, he didn't....why because with Ladry tannehill doesn't have to throw the ball deep every play. Tannehill is a west coast offense WR and Landry is perfect for him. Landry will run routes and go to work after the catch. That is the main reason why tannehill had a better season last year

Stills-Has the potential to be a # 1 or but i think he will be our # 2, and thats due to no chemistry with tanneill....but unless stills dominates this year in training camp/preseason and show that he is a #1 if not he will be the # 2 WR, he will have to literally take it from landry, which will be very hard because landry is a hard worker and gives it his all every time, a guy like that isn't easily beaten

Mathews--to me is a pure slot wr, very quick and he excel in the slot when he was given the chance to play. do not sleep on mathews he is a star in the making, he just didnt get any PT.

Watch what the scouts said about him coming out of college: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000326477/Breaking-down-Jarvis-Landry

......he was Zach Mettenberger GO TO GUY on 3rd downs, not BEckham JR who is now a starter on the giants offense. If Beckham Jr is a started then why not landry????

because finheaven doesn't believe players are good until they make the pro bowl... wait....

LANDRY:
i agree with you ... but thats also what he is working towards as well. being an outside WR, gotta prove too.

i myself have been saying i think he can become an outside guy, to add versatility to his game in that way would be great. especially with the types of WRs we could draft this year in the draft. you can do many different things with Landry with him becoming able to play from the slot and out wide. now i do believe he will have difficulty to the outside deep and all, but he has solid footwork and uses his body well... he can break inside quite easily i think. he has work to do and lots to prove in this aspect still before you definitely say he can!!!

he is a worker, and a great fire is lit within... i hope it continues and he becomes a dominant player for us for his whole career.

MATTHEWS:
this is his year to shine, his chance to work, show and prove himself.... or he may be gone after. i liked what i saw when he was on the field, better than Gibson... but he needs to do it consistent now. get it going... we will see on this

STILLS:
great to bring in... make it much more comfortable going into 2015 without Wallace. he is young and has shown some good stuff already in the NFL... but now he has to do it with our offense, with our WR squad, and with Tannehill. he offers a good ability, i like what he can bring, but i gotta see it first though. he is new on our team... he also needs to come in and show and prove now!!! not saying he wont... but gotta see it first once again!!!

these guys are all young and hopefully stick together and work hard for our offensive development as well as their own. hope they an be with us FOREVER!!!

Just because you are a slot receiver does not mean that you are not a starter or that you can't be the best receiver on the team. Wes Welker was the best receiver on the Patriots for a long time and mostly working out of the slot. I see no reason or indication that Landry will leave the slot position. I think that is where he will be at his best. He is not overly fast and does well catching the ball for short yardage and then making things happen with quick jukes and smart play to gain extra yards. I think he will do very well for us in the slot.

I don't really care what he's called ... So long as he's on the field.

ummm slot receivers are not always on the field, so ummm no a slot receiver is not a stater!!! a starter is the # 1 or # 2 WR, a slot Wr is only use when 3 Wr are on the field. If a team is running in a I-formation the slot WR is on the bench buddy, most teams in the nfl usually use there slot wr on 3rd downs!!!!!

Dont look at as a slot being a bad thing, its just what hes best suited for. It might be the most important wr though as the quick slant to the slot wr is a big part of lazors scheme.

im not looking at a slot Wr as a bad thing, i just think he will be our # 1 Wr and mathews will be our slot WR....If Landry is going to be our slot WR and we dont sign a vet WR then where does mathews line up as the # 2?? i dont think so, mathews is our slot Wr, whatever you guys think landry is doing thats amazing in the slot i can guarantee you mathews can do the same. Stop labeling him a slot WR, just watch him develop into a # 1

Matthews isn't quick. He shouldn't be in the slot.

He should be on the outside

Screw the slot, this guy is ready to start at X or Z, preferably Z. The reason he didn't start last year is because we had 20 million tied up in Hartline and Wallace and that idiot Gibson.

Thank you man, thats what im trying say but most Miami dolphin fans are blind or stuck in the past, Some would have said jenkins is nothing more then a backup/role player before last year now they love em, The same thing everyone is saying about Tripp now, Watch next year watch and see how many people fall in love with TRipp, Dolphin fans are bipolar i swer

Dolphins were ranked in top 5 in nfl in using 3 wr sets. It was something staggering like over 80% of the time. Landry is starting slot receiver which on the Dolphins is a starter and even if it isn't he's on the field practically more than anyone besides O-line and QB.
