“I had to beg him to take time off,” his agent Demarius Bilbo told the Miami Herald. “He wants to show people he’s an outside receiver, not just a slot receiver.”
As a second-round pick out of LSU, Landry led the team in receptions (84) and targets (111), totaling 758 receiving yards. His 28.1 kickoff-return average ranked fourth in the NFL.

The most impressive accolade of all this, though, is he was the NFL’s top ranked slot receiver in 2014 (as a rookie), according to Pro Football Focus. The scouting service also graded him as the league’s 16th best overall receiver, noting his strength as a run blocker. Wallace was 53rd and Hartline, 103rd.
As for any weaknesses, some might label Landry’s 9.0 yard average per catch as unimpressive but realize 23 of his grabs came behind the line of scrimmage. Anyone who watched the Dolphins with regularity last season, as painful as that was, had to have noticed Landry’s knack for getting open and making people miss after the catch. It’s a good sign he’s committed to developing into a more versatile receiver for Ryan Tannehill, one who could impact the game down the field.
Damn, looks like Landry has big plans for 2015. This kid is quickly becoming one of favorite Fins.
