According to this report from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Carolina Panthers are New Orleans Saints are among the teams that could be interested in trading for Landry. That list also includes the Chicago Bears and Tennessee Titans.

Carolina makes a ton of sense here. ESPN’s David Newton came out with a separate report Friday noting that the Panthers will look to overhaul their receiving group in the offseason.

“Outside of Devin Funchess, Curtis Samuel and Damiere Byrd, nobody at this position should feel safe as the 2018 roster takes shape,” Newton noted. “There could be an overhaul similar to what the Philadelphia Eagles went through last season en route to the Super Bowl.”

That position has been pretty bad for Newton over the past several seasons. It’s good to see that Carolina will be proactive in adding more talent at receiver for the former league MVP.

The Saints are interesting in that they already have a true No. 1 receiver in Michael Thomas. Adding Landry would create one of the best receiver groups in the league. Pure conjecture here, but running back Mark Ingram could be bait to lure the Dolphins into a trade. Miami is said to be interested in adding a running back, either via the draft or free agency this offseason.

Didn't the Saints trade Cooks because they didn't want to pay him? Why would they pay Landry who isn't as good a player as cooks in that scheme. I could see the Panthers they've tried acquire WR talent for a while now ever since Steve Smith left and Kelvin Benjamin wasn't the player they hoped for.

to all these fans that want Landry gone, please tell me the definitive plan to replace him. We have had a mediocre offense for years. I recommend you step back and realize that Landry has been the chain mover, the run game and this past year, the goal line offense. He does what he is asked to do. For a minute, think about Landry's production over the past 4 years and ask yourself , if we were more vertical in coaching and quarterback, combined with a decent line, what could Landry really do? I don't think Miami is stupid enough to pay him 16M, but smart enough to give him a long term deal, with more guaranteed money than Stills. If you want to complain about money spent, why isn't anyone complaining abut Stills' production the season during he was extended? I think it is laughable that posters here THINK Parker, Grant and Carroo can pick up the slack.

Stills averaged over 17 yards a catch and had 9 touchdowns the season he was extended and is getting paid something like $8 million a year. If Landry only wanted $8 million, no one would be complaining. I personally think Landry can be replaced by a competent tight end and spreading the ball out to the running backs more. I don't want to see anymore offense where we continue to force a ball game in and game out to a guy behind the line of scrimmage. They aren't hard routes to replace at all. I give credit to Landry for becoming a viable red zone threat this year but we offered the guy 13 million and he declined, let him walk as it simply isn't worth that kind of cap hit.

You are wrong. In 2016 he had that, got extended last summer and stunk the joint up.

I thought you were talking about the year leading to the extension. He increased his yardage and receptions last year while still averaging over 14 yards a catch. The guy had something like 50 less receptions than Landry and still came within 150 yards and only 3 touchdowns shy of Landrys year for 8 million. Stills played well last year. I don't know how you could possibly think he stunk the joint up...... that is just a baseless claim.

I don't know of ANY fan who wants Landry gone. Quite a few have a $ they consider too much, some say pay him whatever he wants, but all would like him back

One thing is for certain .... Parker isn’t going to pick up anyone’s slack, and that is a very sad thing for a kid with so much potential. Kids has zero desire to be good at this level, and you can’t teach, coach that.

Potential Landry spots- teams in need of WR and have cap space or high # pics.
Keep in mind this isn't a dazzling FA or Draft pool of WRs. IMO Landry is best WR available.
Bears
49ers
Bills
Jets
Browns
Ravens
Jarvis hasn't made any real money yet. This is his first and maybe only opportunity. He will accept a sign and trade with 35 Mill + guaranteed to any of these teams rather than playing on a 1 year Franchise tag.

I believe one of these teams will give up a Rd2 pick for him. Browns make lot of sense given they have ( 2)2nd Rd picks.

I haven't seen anyone that wants Landry gone, no Dolphin fan wants this, the point for the hundredth time is his contract demands.

It comes down to coaching. What receiver is paid even close to what Landry is wanting in NE yet they have been a SB contender for how long? These big contracts need to stop NOW!

it's because of Brady and Bill. The receivers have nothing to do with it lol
