Landry: Tannehill becoming more of a leader, less robotic & demanding more

Let's hope all this comes to fruition. It could go a long way to covering up some of the deficiencies in the team.

Didn't see this posted yet. Reading articles like this really helps me to see what a thumb Lazor and Philbin had on not only Tannehill, but the entire offense. Tannehill has got to love his new coach and new responsibilities.

There have been a number of articles discussing Tannehill's excitement utilizing mismatches and at being able to audible. Actually, articles note all O players share that excitement. The little I watched of PS, I saw Tannehill call more audibles than I remember all last year. We shall see. No one denies the cancers of Philbin-oma and Lazor-noma.

Nice to hear. Really hope we see the difference this season

All they ever needed to do was empower the kid....(and maybe actually teach him something.) The top 4 traits needed to be a great player in this league....work ethic, physical ability, intelligence, toughness. He's 4 for 4.

"And not only that, he's demanding a lot out of us, he's counting on us, he makes sure we're in our playbook, makes sure we're in the right spots when we need to be there, and that we're making the plays when he throws the ball. He demands that of us and he gets on us if we don't."

Nice little tidbit from the article there.

That's what happens when the coach shows that he trusts and believes in his QB

Pretty much confirms what we all know - he isn't a natural born leader.

Less robotic...

Hahahaah

So from your point of view, less robotic is bad.... more robotic is bad..... equally robotic is bad..... no agenda here, carry on.

And based on your extensive research on the topic, ALL successful QBs are natural born leaders.... :bobdole:

Less robotic...

Hahahaah

You do realize Landry puts it that way because the jack asses from last year had no ****ing clue what they were doing when it came to prioritizing talent and attacking the weaknesses of a defense. Especially considering the mickey mouse offense they ran had opposing coaching laughing at them, ala the Waterboy. How could you not be robotic when knowing what the coaches called wasn't going to work? You just put your head down and try your best in those situations

Less robotic...

Hahahaah

Kind of how things work when the coaches take away freedom, you become a robot, or puppet. Sucks because it set the team back a lot longer then it needed to.

What is amazing is how well he has done despite all of this.

Hard to be a leader when the prior coaching staff cuts off all leadership opportunities. You do realize it was Tannehill making chicken salad out of the chicken **** playback and play calling he was delivered.

can't wait for Tannehill to blow up this year so they will stop talking
