While most of his Dolphins teammates are enjoying some time off before the start of training camp on July 30, wide receiver Jarvis Landry is turning it up big time according to former Dolphins wideout Chris Chambers. He has been working with Chambers since minicamp broke, and the former Dolphins great sees a drive and attitude in “Juice” that is very rare, especially in younger players.
“He just continues to work,” said Chambers on an appearance with The Finsiders. “He actually came over to (The Chamber– Chris’ fitness facility), and I got a chance to work with him a little bit and be able to put my hands on him for a few weeks, and he’s really into it. A lot of guys right now, they’re on vacation for another couple weeks until after the 4th (of July), and then guys will crank it up. He’s already training, getting ready for this season.”
With this kind of work ethic, coupled with Landry’s budding talent and excellent receiving traits, Chambers sees “Juice” as a player that won’t just avoid the sophomore jinx, he says he’ll break it down, and excel.

after this weekend these guys all should be locking into football 24/7 mode...by the end of next week at the latest it's time to live football all the time for the next hopefully 8 months or so

Landry may be a Hall of Famer type of player guys. Yes, I know it's early....but the kid has "it".

I can't believe the Dolphins drafted someone with his mindset.

Juice is going for 100 catches this year, book it, the guy is a baller and has no fear.

Jennings, Stills, and Parker will also beast this year.

Tanny throws for 4800. Let's go!

He sounds like he has that Jerry Rice mentality.

When was Chris Chambers a Dolphins great? He was decent but great idk about that

He was pretty good. If he didn't have Fiedler and Feeley throwing to him early in his career his numbers would look much better.

Anyways, that's the official blog of the Finsiders Show, of which he is an analyst for, so I'm sure they are talking him up a bit.

The only reason Landry may not have 100 catches is due to the offensive players he has playing with him, and having to spread the ball around.

I remember that hit chambers took on Monday night football. Not sure the opponent, possibly Denver. That was a scary hit, thought he was dead for a second.

His qbs were trash.

When he had competent qb play (2005) he went to the probowl.

Also 07 before he got traded he was on pace for a great year too.

Sunday Night at Denver in 2002. Fiedler broke his thumb in that game, too. Ray Lucas had to play the next few games and cemented his legacy

The force is strong with this one. Landry, don't let CC teach you his baffling inconsistency! #84 used to drive me INSANE with one great catch then a dropped td, then a dropped catch, then a great play. The most promising but maddeningly inconsistent wide receiver we've ever had.

Some former players are better at coaching than playing. This shouldn't turn into a "bash Chambers" thread.

Agree -It was always "He's gonna have a great season this year" and we ended up with 800 yards and a maybe a nice amount TDs. I do blame Fiedler quite a bit. I'll always remember that Thanksgiving game vs Dallas where he blew up for i think 3 TDs and well over 100yds....but those games were super rare. And it's not like he lit it up in KC. I was always a big fan of chambers, but he's definitely not a "great".

Well put!

I witnessed that Chambers hit in person. So did CoPhinFan. Chambers was incredible with his circus catches....it wasn't so much drops but a inconsistent QB....how many QBS did he have!?!? We've had 17 since Marino and Chambers was there for ATLEAST half of them.....its a damn shame. He had the talent to be great. I'm glad to hear this about Juice tho.
