Laremy Tunsil, Has The Light Come On?

He has some great feet for such a big man.

My thoughts exactly. Of course, I typically don't watch footwork often, but it does appear he has freakish foot movement for such a big guy. He seems to be perfectly vertical with his weight. His constant foot pumping keeps him agile and able to move quick. He doesn't have the typical plant and chop footwork as he slides sideways or back peddles. It is like he is constantly upright and responds quickly to change of direction. I've never seen that before.

It's weird to look at, but then you can immediately see his responsiveness. He vertical posture and balance never commit him to a direction. But when he is ready to engage, he's like a ram leaning up before he lunges. Quite impressive for a big man.

If he continues to play at this level for the season, locking him up becomes very expensive...Him and Howard can both begin discussing contracts at the end of the season and he is playing like a top flight LT. You are talking over 80 million for him and close to 100 million for Howard...So letting a Suh go does help free that money up a bit, same with Pouncey and a few others.

Was only a matter of time....Sitton and Kilgore really helped him grow his maturity I think...getting rid of Pouncey may have payed dividends too, it seems
its sad to say but I bet pouncey was in his ear about stuff. wasn't mentoring him well. these new guys are true pro's. you can see the difference across the board

Haven’t heard his name much this season which is a good thing as he’s not giving up sacks or having a bunch of false starts or constantly holding.

Absolutely. Howard, Drake, and Tunsil will all command big contracts. Suh had to go.

It's his 2nd year at LT and perhaps he just needed a little more time. Let's see how he does a few more games in. Hopefully, he becomes the Rock on the line instead of Sitton or Kilgore.

Got his left tackle feet back. Noticed that in tbe preseason. He had beautiful feet as a prospect and shredded the combine o line drills. Didn’t have them last year. Kicked inside to guard and lost them when kicked back out.

But he’s got them now. Massive difference. Although he played solid ball down the stretch last year after an underwhelming start. He’s just building on it.

Miami will pick up that 5th year gladly when the time comes if he can maintain.

I think the combo of him kinda sucking last year, and having the dominant Sitton beside him to really make him feel like he had to work, plus going against Robert Quinn every day, really put the fear of God in Tunsil and helped him develop a solid work ethic. When he puts the effort in, he has world-class talent.

He's been really good. I think the combination of Tunsil and James at tackle, if they stay healthy, is going to do a lot for this team moving down the rough stretch of the schedule.

Give me a olineman with great feet and you can always get it sorted out. You can correct above the waist, but it’s hard to correct below.
