laron landry at #1 makes the most sense to me. teamed with jason allen and we would be set. we give up far to many plays down the middle of the field.
bell and hill are serviceable but not consistant enough, and on alot of plays get confused and are backpeddling to catch up. with our #2 we should take thebest cornerback avail(any ideas) with our #3 best 3-4 linebacker avail.
with #4 best olineman avail. with#6 reach for someone who has fallen because of inj or other ie rodrique wright. with #7 bpa
free agents should focus on liebacker, oline def tackle.
what do you guys think

Why does everyone want another safety? Bell and Hill were solid there and Miami just drafted one in the first round in 06.

I understand wanting Landry. He's a sure thing...I mean there's no 'sure-thing's in the draft anymore i guess. But Landrys been starting in Sabans system at LSU since he was a true freshman. He's been making plays since Day 1. hes about as close to a sure thing as you can get. its just too bad we dont need him the way we need other positions.

Landry is a stud. Simple as that. He is great value where we will be picking... fills a need on the other side of JAllen... and can contribute immediately because he already knows the system...

I cant think of a better pick... but I wouldnt be upsetif we went with a lineman, OLB, or CB either...

the only thing that made sense to me there is your rd 7 pick... BPA! It's simple. You can't say lets take this position this round.

And where are the offensive players to join this
scoring machine here in Miami?????

look for allen to move to corner and compete for the #2 w/ daniels. He didn't excel at S but saban wants everyone to be able to play both S/CB.

Probably because we get beat long on a constant basis and there is no help by the safties because there to busy(not knowing where they belong)

You shouldn't draft for need anyways. If the best "need" player available in the 1st round is only 2nd round quality, why pick him? You pick BPA.

I think Landry may very well be the BPA and popular thought is that you shouldn't draft for need, especially this high in the draft. But I still think we should look at the O-line first.

I wouldnt be overly excited about the pick. I'd rather go Corner/LB/Dline if we're going defense than safety. Unless Saban thinks drafting Landry and moving Allen to corner makes the secondary better than keeping Allen at safety and drafting a corner at #9.

This may actualy be a great pick where as previously posted he would play day1 because he knows the system(unlike our first round pick the year before)and he could also mentor Jason Allen and teach him what he has failed to comprehend this year.

Or if we resign Y Bell he could teach Bell how not to get lost in our secondary
and Jason Allen could be moved to DB(THIS SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME)

iF WE SIGN Samuel or Nate then just disregard my nonsense
