One tough ass runner. Loved the way he threw guys away drom him on runs. That bull loop on his helmet was a thing of beauty.

Elementary School had it in the library.
There was also a book on Csonka and Kiick - forget the name, but read it over and over.
If I could only get copies of those old books....

Still have copies of both books from elementary school.....reader copies and a mint copy...yes,I'm a OCD collecting nerd....so ashamed,!!!...lol..not really..
 
Great runner but also great O-line with Langer,Little and Kuechenburg
 
Csonka made the NFL's Greatest Hit tape..............and not for taking hits, he made it for running people over.


Side note: If you notice most of those tackles are how the NFL wants players to tackle today.

Correct. He played a lot in I and was TB. Of course unreal power + speed. But for PURE FB bulldozer with unreal forward lean = 4-5 yards auto.

Larry was one TUFF mofo and ready to rumble in any time.
 
never forget that Larry once ran over a bills player and knocked him out. Then gets penalized because the official felt bad for the poor bills player
