I had to look it up because I thought it was eons ago. But it was as recent as 2006 when the Dolphins won 4 in a row. The streak started with the Dolphins 1-6, but they then lost 4 of the last 5 to finish at 6-10.
In 2005 the Dolphins won 6 in a row to close the season and finish at 9-7, but missed the play-offs.
With just 6 games to play, a 4-2 finish should give the Fins a good shot at the playoffs. Given their play of late there is no way to predict from where the wins will come, but having won 6 of their past 8, you have to like their chances.
Still, my optimism has to be tempered with the reality that this is still a team that is young, rebuilding and has plenty of "issues." But the bottom line is the Dolphins are exciting to watch.
