we gave up the fewest amount of points in our whole divison, we gave up 317 points, Pats were 2nd best and gave up 338 points. I didn't realize this until I just looked at the standings on ESPN, thats great

No, we had the best scoring D in the division..not sure they were any better than the Pats in any other category..I know our pass D wasn't the greatest, that's why we have a new cast.

There are two general ways to rank a defense, fewest poinst allowed and fewest yards allowed. I think Fewest Yards allowed is used more, because it shows who controlled the game, etc. If you let a team gain 60 yards on every possession it takes away time from the offense, etc.

I never understood why yards per game judged how good a defense was. It should be fewest points allowed is the best. I don't care if a team marches up and down the field. If they eventually have to punt, or they can only convert field goals, that defense is doing its job. If an offense gets good field position and scores a T.D. but doesn't eat up a lot of yards, then it is still worse for the team.
I understand clock management is important, but points are what matters in the end.

Maybe scoring Defense was good but the amount of yardage we gave up was not the best. Our secondary was terrible and we made average looking QB's look real good.

I believe the Pats pass D was 31st in the league, and I really doubt the Phins were #32, so yeah the Phins have the best D in the division.

We did very well only because of our play in the front 7. Now that we have some sure fire tacklers in the secondary, my personal opinion is that we will have one of the top defenses in the leauge.
