I think if Keller and Gibson stayed healthy we would have made the playoffs. I say keep spending Hickey and get us to playoffs. My point is the media keeps saying we spent big last year with no playoffs but if not for injuries to Keller and Gibson we would have made playoffs.

We spent big last year and SHOULD have made the playoffs....despite the injuries to Gibson and Keller and with an awful O-line and no running game.

I expect a couple of O-line signings tomorrow and maybe a surprise or two....

Earlier in the season I felt Keller going down was huge. It seemed to take away another dimension of the offense. But Clay filled in ok. Gibson was replaced. I just don't feel like making excuses for them. They weren't good enough, and all that FA money didn't have the impact we thought it would. Even Wallace, who was a huge pickup....and a real talent, didn't have enough of an impact.

This offense is not good enough. There are too few playmakers, and the pieces we do have don't seem to be working together, with this scheme very well. I am hoping and praying Lazor straightens this all out, and the new O line coach makes an impact. There is no quick fix for the O line, but this is a start.

So in retrospect, no, we didn't deserve to make the playoffs.

Respect is earned, and the good thing is, we have an opportunity to start earning it, with a new season.
