No doubt about it- last year stunk. Of course, that's hardly breaking news. I'm with you, I hope Randy gets us some good draft picks. It's amazing how fast a team can turn things around with a couple of good drafts. Oh yes, and a quarterback helps too.

First of all, why would you want to look at last year's stats?
Secondly, Mularkey is no longer calling plays and with any kind of consistency out the QB/OL/WR, we should be better.
Third and last, we ran over 1,000 plays last year (9th in the NFL) but couldn't score consistenly when we got in the red zone. This IMO is where the season was lost. Getting into the red zone and not scoring TDs, kicking FGs or turning the ball over will cause you to lose a lot of games.

Saban kept our Strong D alive in his two years and made it more effective than ever by switching to the 3-4 and letting JT move around IMO....
Carter, Traylor, Holliday, Roth, Crowder..... great additions all in one offseason !! And now our secondary isnt of much concern as it was with Madison and Howard etc. We got Will Allen, Jason Allen, Andre Goodman, Renaldo Hill all last offseason !!
That said........ good riddance to Saban because Capers can run the D as good or better and Mueller will find the players to fit the scheme from ANYWHERE in the country. Not just the SEC.

The offense is a different story.... you really cant blame anyone for losing our Coordinator and QB i guess. It's back in good hands with Cam, and Shea was a big signing if we plan on developing our own QB. Houck just needs to work his magic and we could have a nice turnaround again.

Except for our top tier defense, they are pretty bad in terms of rankings, however our rushing attack isnt bad at all when we have 2 backs each averaging over 4 yards per...I am happy with that statistic...More TD's needed though

Yep, that pretty much explains it, H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E

Defense gave up 283 points, not bad.

Chambers 11.9 rushing average not bad either.

See theres always a silver lining.
