Late rounders rarely do much in the NFL but it’s still fun to look for that sleeper pick. I think the networks spend way too much time on players we already know everything about so why don’t way we pool our resources and see who we can come up with?

Let’s try and not make it just throwing names out there, do a little work on the player.

I have a lot of players I like but I’ll start it off with this guy I just stumbled upon;

Zach Sieler

Defensive End

Ferris State (Michigan)

6’5”, 290lbs

4.91 40 time

“This fall, Sieler set new school records with 29.5 tackles for loss (-164 yards) and 19.5 sacks (-138 yards). He ranked among the nation's top five players in both categories and led the GLIAC while also ranking as FSU's third-leading tackler with a personal career-high 80 stops, including 37 solo hits. Sieler added a team-high five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, a blocked kick and a pass breakup while starting all 15 games.”

Albeit against a lower level of competition but he was an absolute wrecking ball. Lining up outside and inside he is virtually impossible to block one on one.

Quick off the snap with varied moves to keep linemen guessing. He displays a very quick swim move, can speed rush, split double teams and press the outside shoulder to set up an occasional spin move.

Great instincts and seems to sniff out plays before the snap. Insane agility for someone his size.

The highlight video (I can’t find much else) is incredibly impressive. The first half is mostly him killing QB’s but around 4:00 there is a lot of running plays where he shows the ability to find the ball against the Read Option and anchor against the double team. Around 4:20 he basically tackles the ballcarrier with the Offensive Tackle.

Probably fits best as a 3-4 end but he could there is a heck of lot of potential inside in a 4-3.

Thanks for this Joe. It's a great idea.

Slippery Rock's defensive end Marcus Martin

NCAA Division II Ron Lenz National Defensive Player of the Year and a first team All-American by the Associated Press.
He finished second in the voting for the Ted Hendricks Award, which goes to the best defensive end across all divisions of college football.

Martin broke the career record for sacks in all divisions this season with 56. He also led the nation with 15 1⁄2 sacks and 26 1⁄2 tackles for loss this fall.

DAMON GIBSON, WR -- MINNESOTA STATE-MOORHEAD... 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds
Gibson broke out huge numbers in his third season as he placed sixth in the country with 90 receptions and finished third with 1,549 receiving yards.

Colorado State WR Michael Gallup. At 6-foot tall and 198 pounds
100 catches for over 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns. He is a sharp route-runner that always seems to be able to get himself open

Braxton Berrios, receiver, U of Miami. The kid is a great person, a scholar and I'm sure he'll help a team. He's a lot like Wes Welker imo and about the same size. He was an important offensive weapon for the U of Miami team. I'm not sure if he could catch on with the Dolphins mainly because they have that type of receiver on the roster already in Grant, Amendola and Wilson, maybe practice squad. He may go in the late rounds, like 7, or he may have to try to catch on with a team as a free agent. If Gase wants first class people who can play the game Berrios deserves a look, I am partial to my home school players. On that note RB Mark Walton is a superb back with excellent speed, he'll drop because he is coming off an injury.

If he's not snapped up earlier on day 3, my pick for a late round sleeper at receiver is Jester Weah of Pittsburgh. I've seen some mocks having him as a 6th or 7th round pick but Slimm says he should go earlier. My two seeper backs that could be 7th round picks or udfa's are Chris Warrn of Texas and Jarvion Franklin of Western Michigan.

Ryan Nall rb oregon st. Great one cut runner, decent speed, capable receiver and great size 6 ft 3 239lbs.

Tre'quan Smith UCF WR
I wish he was a sleeper, but I think he go in the 3rd or 4th rd.

OG Toby Weathersby

LSU

6-6 308

His draft stock has taken a hit from the start of the draft process and I do not really understand why? He like a jack of all trades. He is proficient in both run blocking and pass pro, but he is not dominant in either. At times he might play a little high, but not often. He may never be an All-Pro, but he can be a good swing tackle.

KENDALL DONNERSON, LB/DE - SEMO
southeast-missouri-state-e1522706903915.png

2018 PRO DAY RECAP: Donnerson could be one of the biggest hidden gems of this entire FCS class. Only a handful of scouts were on hand for SEMO's Pro Day in March, but word of his reported 4.44-second time in the 40-yard dash and combine like numbers in the bench press (20 reps), vertical jump (40 inches), broad jump (10-foot-11) and 3-cone time (7.03 seconds) has gotten around.

Don't be surprised if Donnerson is a day three pick like Eastern Washington's Samson Ebukam was after the DE/LB had a great Pro Day last year.

Has worked out for Miami

Sam Houston's PJ Hall
Teams have to double and triple team him more and more in recent years. Still, his career numbers are staggering: 42 sacks, 279 tackles, 29 passes broken up. And lastly, get this: FCS all-time leader in tackles for loss (86.5) for 406 yards

It's hard to decide where Hall is the most destructive. On special teams, he is second all time in the FCS' 40-year history in blocking kicks with 14 blocked kicks

At @BearkatsFB pro day today, DL P.J. Hall measured 6-0 1/2, 308, ran 40 in 4.83/4.71 seconds, had 38 VJ, 9-8 BJ, 36 lifts. Wow! Moved from DE to DT. Quick off ball but slows down. Reminds some of Aaron Donald. My pick to be earliest non-combine invite drafted.

I'm trying to figure out why there isn't more talk about Sam Houston State's P.J. Hall. I get that he isn't going on day one or day two, but he is a good football player with disruptive potential and loads of production. Maybe it is just his size. I just know he can play.

Maybe a special teams ace but what measurables with a 4.7 40 time at over 300 lbs
plus a 38 inch vert jump
